A fantastic time at the inaugural RPM Nationals/SCTA Dirt Drags. So much fun in the dirt which I will be cleaning out of my camera equipment and car for weeks.

I had a blast attending the 10th annual @rpm_nationals last weekend. It was work and fun with @flatheadroadster and @americanhotrodfoundation . Hard to believe it was my first time attending this amazing event. Killer cars, excellent swapmeet, good food and a lot of catch up with old friends. It was a pleasure hanging out with AHRF founder Steve and meeting his nephew Peter. Saturday my fun was disrupted by the news of @just_jim_66 death. I knew he had some recent health scares, but damn lately I have been getting way to much news like this. Thanks @justin_baas and @russ_hare for the hospitality. Being there in person on the 14,000 acre @santa.margarita.ranch is really “something else”! #rpmnationals #rpmnationals2026 #americanhotrodfoundation #tradionalhotrod #hotrods

Fasten your seatbelts. We want to try something the night before our Halloween show at Songbirds. A little mischief night action if you will (or “corn night” for our Appalachian mountain friends). We’ll be test driving new songs and new ideas for old songs we haven’t played live in… a while. It will be A No-sh!t Rehearsal.

We should probably pay YOU to attend such a thing but we do have expenses to cover and then there’s Nardone’s comic book “problem". So how about a flat $35 ticket price for all comers - everyone gets a seat. Only 120 available. Tickets on sale to the general public at noon on Tuesday September 1st. Join us for the weekend! What are we saving it for now?

Two years ago today we lost the Legend that is Alex Xydias. I had the unbelievable honor to spend a few hours with him shortly before his passing as he allowed me to make a portrait of him in his 102nd year on earth. He was as vibrant as he was kind and his presence in front of my lens was honestly quite intimidating – not even remotely because he was an intimidating man, but because of the incredible life that he lived and the people that he deeply impacted in his lifetime.
.
My one sadness about this opportunity was that I was not able to share his portrait with him before he passed and he seemed so excited and engaged with the entire process. There are so many people with personal experiences and deep relationships with Mr. Xydias, so when it was time to put together some stories about the man he truly was I reached out to several people who knew him well and asked then to share some personal stories and photos of what made him such an amazing man. I have put this entire story that you can read at no cost on my Patreon page and it is my complete honor to share a tiny part of Mr. Xydias’ incredible legacy with you all. PATREON LINK IN BIO. https://www.patreon.com/scottphotoco/posts/whats-left-alex-146018370
.
I also have to say a massive thank you(!!!) to David Steele without who I would not have even had this opportunity. I am massively in your debt. Thank you.

“Friends of Chuck”, a celebration in remembrance of Chuck’s life was held on July 18. Thank you, David Steele, for coming up with the idea and opening up your home. Eric Williams designed and produced an awesome sticker to commemorate the event.
