Celebrating 35 Years of Sea-Dar and most importantly, the relationships that have shaped our journey.

We were so honored to gather with so many of the clients, architects, designers, tradespeople, and industry partners who have been part of the Sea-Dar story over the years. These relationships are at the heart of of what we do and have played a meaningful role in our growth and continued success.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate, it was a wonderful evening filled with good conversation, familiar faces, and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

Here’s to building trust, together.

An early look inside New England Coastal Modern in Gloucester.

Designed by @flavinarchitects and being built by @benchmark_builders , this coastal home is still taking shape.
We’re grateful to contribute cabinetry to the interiors and share a glimpse of the installation in progress.

Time flies! It has been 8 years ago! It was the first time we worked with A&A and we met Art and his team. It was challenging and interesting project and installation went smoothly, thanks to skilled individuals.

The owners, a couple living in Europe, discovered the property online while searching for a modernist home near Boston. After living in it for a year, they worked with architect Colin Flavin to carefully rethink the space, retaining its original layout and stone fireplace while adding Portuguese sliding windows, steel details, and minimalist interiors.

Take a closer look at this thoughtful transformation and see how the home’s original character was preserved. Read the full story at the link in bio.

Builder’s Notebook is back with a new season!

In this season premiere, Sarah Lawson and Bruce Irving sit down with Heather Souza, Principal at @flavinarchitects , to explore the opportunities and challenges of renovating this often-overlooked era of housing. They discuss the characteristics of these homes - from builder-driven designs and compartmentalized layouts to generous lots, good bones, and ceiling heights worth preserving - and what makes them strong candidates for thoughtful renovation.
The conversation also goes beyond aesthetics, addressing the infrastructure and material issues homeowners should understand before taking on a project, including siding, windows, water management, and other components that may be reaching the end of their useful life. Heather shares why understanding how a family actually lives in a home should come before simply opening walls, and how thoughtful interventions can create more connected spaces while still maintaining purposeful separation.

This summer, WiLRE brought members together at Granite Links Golf Club for a series of group golf lessons led by golf professional Nick Tedeschi.

Like any strong relationship, a good golf game isn’t built in one swing. It takes time, practice, trust, and the willingness to keep showing up.

These lessons created space for members to do both, strengthen their game and strengthen their connections with other women across the luxury residential community.

Because whether on the course or in business, the relationships we invest in are often the ones that take us the furthest.

Leventhal House // 1949 //

An early and distinctive example of an architect-designed Modern/International style residence, the Leventhal House in Newton has been lovingly updated and restored by owners since it was built in 1949.

Boston-based Modernist architect, Samuel Glaser, designed the jewel-box Leventhal House for Muriel and Norman B. Leventhal, founder and chairman of The Beacon Companies, a developer and manager of office buildings, housing, and hotels in the Boston area. The Leventhal’s were also collectors of historic maps and in 2004, partnered with the Boston Public Library creating the Norman B. Leventhal Map Center at the Boston Public Library which make many historic maps available for research.

The Leventhal House stands on a steep rise at the base of Oak Hill and was built soon after the adjacent 1946 Kaplan House designed by Walter Gropius and the Architects Collaborative. The property has been recently restored by Flavin Architects, who did an exceptional job to modernize this early Modern home for 21st century living, while staying true to the significance and architectural qualities of the 1949 design.

Last week, on a hot summer evening in Boston, WiLRE traded our usual business gathering for a little friendly competition: pickleball at Ballers in Boston’s Seaport. 🏓

For many of us, it was a chance to learn something new, challenge each other on the courts, and connect in a completely different way. Shared experiences like this help members build stronger relationships while simply having fun together. We sweated and laughed our way through the night, and there’s nothing like conversation over a chilled glass of rosé to finish off a match. Dink. Sip. Repeat. 🍷

A special thank you to @movemetoboston and @plattbuilders for sponsoring such a great evening and bringing our community together.
