The Miami Moviegoers had a marvelous time at our Animated Short Films Spotlight at @floridasupercon! This event had everything including an opening round of trivia from our movie trivia master Ricky, flying lollipops, the reference to the animated film Food Fight, a donated membership from the @gablescinema, that thing where people without asking doodle on the back of the voting slips (I love congoers, lol), a Q&A with the animators of the short films which we showed, a hand puppet that play games behind your back, gator bites from Kush, our very excited Audience Award winner who let out a very excited yell, and so much more.

Honestly, I love doing this. It means so much to the Florida animation community, and as long as I live, I hope to continue putting this together for them.

We did it! I co-directed a film for my capstone project @magic_mdc for the @frostscience museum and it was the greatest experience. I am so lucky to have helped bring this to life as I have been a fan of frost (and science)! For as long as I can remember.
Thank you @alecistheone for mentoring this project, I am inspired to try and keep working with and learning about planetariums :)
Also special thanks to @sashiushinsky and @lord.penumbra for all the help throughout this project, and @theloonfromthemoon and @theriverastyx for showing up to support 🥹❤️‍🔥❤️💕🙌 (you guys rock)

When @sandra.portal.andreu calls to ask you do anything, say yes! CIRCA was created by Sandra Portal-Andreu with the idea to give a voice to the kids growing up in Miami. Brenna Verner’s @flavorkingdom animation of their drawings brought this film to life!

Watch it at @frostscience every Saturday this May!

Should we do a live score of the film during a screening?

Sharing some exciting news 📰. Our film #CIRCA 🌎 is now showing at the Frost Science Planetarium every Saturday in May at 1:30pm — don’t miss the chance to experience it in this amazing space.

We’re thrilled 🤩 to collaborate with @frostscience and bring this work to such a stunning space. Come through and check it out!

Special thanks to Alec Warren and our animator, Brenna Verner @flavorkingdom for making this a reality. And to my collaborators @afrobeta and the families and children whose voices we continue to share.

Astro’s Adventure. Our animation capstone project for Miami Dade College’s MAGIC program has been posted online. It is a trailer that would be shown at the planetarium in the Philip and Patricia Frost Science Museum. I animated Astro’s face. All with the help of human_toon’s expression sheet and @flavorkingdom’s voice acting. I also did some other modeling and animation that would be shown in the final version. To say this was fun is an understatement, I had the time of my life doing this, and I am infinitely honored to be part of this ambitious project. @magic_mdc @frostscience Special thanks: @halbert.halbert.halbert @ufobambi @ywessy #animation #mdc #2d #3d #2danimation #3danimation #frostmuseumofscience #frostmuseum #capstone #capstoneprojects

EDFC 2021 Best Editor Winner Dani Bowman shared with us that EDFC is a great gateway for anyone with disabilities to bring their voices out there and an opportunity to show their capabilities. “Authentic representation is an absolute must, & I think this is what Hollywood definitely needs.” @danibowman1 won the award for the film “The Home Office” and is an amazing animator as well! Thanks for the awesome words, Dani!
