Vor ein paar Jahren saß ich noch auf der anderen Seite: im Corporate-Job, mit diesem Traum im Kopf und null Plan, ob das jemals klappt.

Working with brands like these was my f*cking dream. Und ich bin sooo dankbar, dass ich das alles gerade wirklich erleben darf. 🥹

Der richtige Moment kam nie. Ich hab einfach angefangen. 🚀

Worauf wartest du gerade noch? 👇

I’M BAAAACKKK!!
After 6 months of dealing with the shoulder injury/surgery I can finally say I am back stronger than ever. I have a feeling this season is going to be insane and I already can’t wait.
Thank you everybody who was by my side during these horrible 6 months, I really appreciate it🙏

Meet Evan 👋

Hailing from Kimberley, ON, Evan has been making waves in the snowboard scene. He first started riding at 7 years old and is based out of @beavervalley.skiclub training with @mixedmovements 🏂

Coming off an epic season last winter, where Evan raced in his first World Cup at Mont-Saint-Anne, plus finished 15th at Jr. Worlds in St. Moritz, he's got his sights set firmly on building on that momentum.

With support from Evan's sponsors @doneksnowboards and @flaxta, we're excited to watch his continued progression into 2027.

Let's go, Evan 🔥

“How are you still going?”

After an ACL tear, a calf laceration and close to 24 months of rehab, I get asked this a lot. Getting my body back was the easy part.

1️⃣ Why keep skiing and risk getting hurt again?
Because it’s my life, my passion, my identity. If I’m not skiing, I’m not really living. Honestly, driving through the city or cycling to work probably puts me at more risk than a day in the mountains, and nobody asks me to stop doing those.

2️⃣How do you keep going mentally?
This is the hard one. Physically, I could flip a switch and become a rehab machine: 6am gym sessions, the same boring exercises 100 times. Mentally, it was a different story.

There were the “why me?” days, when I’d scroll past friends’ powder clips and close the app. There was the doubt: lying in bed wondering if I’d ever ski the way I used to. And when I came back, the fear came too. On my first day back, I stood at the top of an easy blue for way too long before I pushed off. Every hard landing or weird feeling in my knee still sends my head straight back to the injury.

🛟 What helped me:
→ Talking about it openly instead of pretending I was fine
→ Daring to fall. Your head will never get less scared if it never learns that falling is okay
→ Writing down small wins and goals: first squat without pain, first full day skiing

Fear isn’t a sign you’re not ready, it’s part of the road back. You learn to accept it until it gets quieter.

If you’re in the “why me” phase right now, it’s normal, and it passes. Fall seven times, stand up eight.

What kept you going through your hardest comeback? 👇

Oh, you gotta grab the pole and you tuck it in tight
Hold on for dear life with all of your might
It’s the poma lift polka, the button lift blues
You better pay attention to the track that you choose
’Cause that spring-loaded cable is a dangerous ride
It’s a five-minute scramble up the mountain side.
