I met Flemming briefly last summer, when he kindly dropped off a book at work for me to borrow -- Anders Lund Madsen's ÆØÅ -- a book about Danish words that *should exist*, but don't. It was great for a laugh, and after a year, I thought it was probably time for me to return the book! 🥴 We met where he works, at a big Danish bank, and I got a really cool behind-the-scenes tour of their new office space. But while Flemming's day-to-day is at the bank, his big life passion is undersea diving with his wife. This really surprised me, because how does a Dane get into this kind of hobby?? Well, let him share his story about learning to dive, why diving in underwater caves and shipwrecks is so magical, and how seriously you have to check your equipment.  It was a topic I never gave much thought to, but have since seen videos now of how unique the experience is. It was really cool to learn about!  And the fact that this passion kind of snuck up on him later in life, gives me so much excitement about the things I haven't even realized I will fall in love with yet in life.  Tusind tak til Flemming for en dejlig eftermiddag med kaffe, snak, en dykningsudstyr prøverum 😅 og hygge! Tak fordi du talte dansk med mig! xo The Nearly Danish Dame PS -- how are both the Danish and English subtitles working in the last few? #taldanskmedmig #jegtalerdansk #lærdansk #languagelover #danishlanguage #learndanish
