TIXARIA COUTURE x LONDON FASHION WEEK Time for a more emotional caption🥹 As the show is fast approaching, I can’t help but think of how far I’ve come. This has always seemed like an unachievable dream, something that would only happen once my brand is incredibly established years down the line. But somehow, within the first year of me launching my brand, I have the amazing opportunity to showcase on one of the worlds largest platforms. I struggled incredibly during university always doubting my work, comparing it to other peoples and not thinking mine was good enough to be showcase. But since graduating my confidence has grown and my belief that my dream that started when I was little dressing up in princess dresses has now somehow become my reality. Vermin examines loneliness, diaspora, and estrangement through themes of decay, restraint, and vulnerability. Inspired by the abandoned Leavesden Sanatorium and the haunting traces left within forgotten spaces, the collection draws from Victorian influences while stripping corsetry back to its exposed structure. References to peeling wallpaper, hanging debris, and melted candle wax shape garments that balance fragility with protection. Guided by music, subculture, and a deeply personal poetic narrative, Vermin reflects the tension between exposure and defence, revealing how beauty can emerge through vulnerability, memory, and the quiet weight of isolation.
