Welcome to the Flathead Lake International Cinemafest, celebrating film and stories from all around the world!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🎬 Did you know Fort Connah is featured in the short film Lone Mountain?

That’s right! In October 2023, a film crew transformed Fort Connah into part of the world of Lone Mountain, utilizing our historic buildings and grounds as a filming location.

And you can see it TONIGHT!

Lone Mountain is being featured as part of the Flathead Lake International Cinemafest (FLIC) Summer Encore Series:

📅 TONIGHT — Wednesday, July 29
🕘 9:00 PM
📌Showboat Cinema (416 Main Street | Polson, MT)
🎬 Lone Mountain

If you watch closely, you may recognize some of Fort Connah’s iconic historical structures on screen!

We’re thrilled to see the continued success of this project and congratulate the cast and crew on the recognition and honors the film has received. It’s also exciting to see a piece of our local Montana history become part of an independent film production.

Come out tonight, support independent cinema, and see if you can spot Fort Connah on the big screen!

More information about the screening and FLIC Summer Encore Series can be found at:

We hope to see you tonight!

What an incredible weekend at @flicpolson 2026! Huge thanks to David and Jessica King for curating such a special celebration of film, friendship, and community in Polson. It was an honor to return and be part of the festival again this year.

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to share Kent Ullberg’s remarkable life story on the big screen at the @showboat_cinemas —and for the beautiful souvenir we’ll treasure. ❤️🎞️🍿

Big thanks to Jesse Vargas for documenting all the fun and unforgettable moments this weekend. 📸 And to Dusty and Mandy for being gracious hosts at @perfectshottavern! 🍻

We look forward to our next trip to Polson!

In an absolutely stunning result, “Kidd” took home the Best Picture Short Award in last night’s closing of @flicpolson 2026. We were in the running amongst an INCREDIBLE lineup of INCREDIBLE films and to say it’s an honor to be recognized in this way is an understatement.

Thank you so much to the team of “Kidd”, our friends and family, and for all of your support for this project. I could not be more proud or grateful. More pictures of our time in Montana to come. 🙂‍↔️

FLIC: Jessica and David, you were both the MOST gracious hosts. We felt so welcome, and your kindness served as one of the many pillars for what to expect in your festival. High quality, interactive, and a hub for filmmakers who truly love the craft. THANK YOU for hosting us, and we will be back. 💙
