Can you tell that Dan is landing here with a full 5 knot crosswind? I don’t think you can, unless you look at the flags behind him… All the time I hear people say that they struggle to land in a crosswind. That the ‘wind took them’ and caused them to land in a heap. In my experience, pretty much every time someone feels that they were ‘blown sideways’ and falls over on landing with a crosswind, it’s because they are asymmetrical in the harness and subconsciously lean downwind with either the leg, the arm, or both. This feeling of being blown sideways and the resultant fall is actually created by the jumper. By being symmetrical with the arms and body, fully finishing the flare, and not reaching for the ground with the feet, you can successfully land in almost any crosswind if necessary. If your idea of canopy control starts and ends with “pull left, go left,” the #S1M has a few more buttons for you to press. 🎮

Front risers, rear risers, weight shift. The #S1M takes the whole picture into account, while adjusting fan power to replicate the changes in airspeed those inputs create.

Because learning to fly a canopy means understanding all the tools available to you, not just the two toggles in your hands. 🙌

Realistic canopy training should involve more than pulling the yellow things. 😅

The #S1M allows pilots to explore harness and riser inputs in a simulated environment, building a better understanding of how each input affects the wing. 🪂

We always say keep your head on a swivel…

The #S1M took that literally. 👀

More than just visuals. The S1M adds movement, harness dynamics, and real-time feedback so pilots can feel the effect of their inputs and practice decision-making involved in real life canopy piloting.

We only got a couple of our @flight1sport 101, 102 jumps in due to weather. But had a great time hanging out with these pilots.

🗣️ Coaching that happens before the oops!

The #A2A lets instructors give real-time input under canopy so corrections land before the lesson does. 😉

What a great week @skydivearizona during the #canadianinvasion🇨🇦. Got to run four days of @flight1sport course with a great group of jumpers. @Flight-1 @Flight01 @flight1sport

🎬 What if all the details of every landing pattern could be immediately replayed?

The #S1M lets you fly, debrief, adjust, and fly again... instantly. That feedback loop is where real progression happens, and now it’s built right into your training.

Practice smarter. Fly better. Repeat. 🔁

From theory to real-body practice: The #S1M is built around Flight-1’s globally recognized canopy training program, so you’re not just using a simulator... you’re learning from the same methodology used to train thousands of jumpers. 🎯

The hardware and software replicate full-axis motion, the physics of canopy flight, and allow repeatable, measurable progress in a safe indoor space. 🦾
