Ramadan is the month long fasting and prayers that Muslim’s do all round the world every year! 🌙🤍 And it’s a very pious occasions for us. We fast from dawn till dusk and break our fast with Iftar.

Have you been to this Authentic Palestinian Restaurant in Raleigh, North Carolina? Flip It @flipit_nc is serving some of the most authentic, freshest, made-from-scratch Middle Eastern food you’ll have in the Triangle Area!

We tried the Msakhan, Maftoul, Kibbeh, Samosas, Hummus and Baba Ghanoush, and of course, their signature dish, Maklouba! And I can honestly, it did not disappointed.

Great food, and overall just beautiful and authentic vibes. 9.1/10

NC Triangle DSA is honored to be hosting a hummus-making class led by a Palestinian. Palestinian hummus, a blend of chickpeas, tahini, garlic, and olive oil, has its roots in the native Palestinian olive trees. These same olive trees are often razed by settlers to build settlements. By hosting this class, we at once express resistance to the Zionist narrative of stealing Palestinian cuisine and the Zionist actions of stealing Palestinian land. And there's no need for Sabra when you can make your own hummus at home!

Join us Saturday, February 1st from 12:00-2:00pm at Flip It Mediterranean Restaurant. Participants will be guided through the hummus recipe step-by-step. All necessary ingredients will be provided. Blenders may be in limited supply, so please bring your own blender or food processor if you're able! However if you cannot bring one we will have extra blenders at the event.

$5 donation is suggested to cover the cost of food.

Flip It - an authentic Palestinian restaurant serving maklouba, msakhan, maftoul, mjadara, baked chicken and rice and Kofta among many other sides and desserts like grape leaves and baklava. Everything at Flip it in homemade even down to the hummus where she takes dried chickpeas, soaks them and makes hummus. The quality of the ingredients and the flavors together are so thoughtful paired. Nahla truly is an inspiration and makes the most wonderful food.
