Thrifty Flipper!!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Just wrapped up the first Mountain View market of the summer — and what a brilliant day it was.

Something I noticed (and heard more than once!) was how refreshing people found it to be at a market where the stalls were actually full of handmade, homegrown craft. There’s such a difference in energy when you’re surrounded by real makers, growers, artists — people who pour hours of care and skill into what they do.

I know lots of you have set goals this year to spend a bit less (totally fair), but the pattern myself and other vendors are seeing is that people still 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 handcrafted and 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 when they’re looking for something meaningful. That’s where the real value is — and it means so much to be part of that space.

I really do pride myself on being in a 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 where true craftsmanship is front and centre. Today felt like that — you could feel the care at every stall.

I’ve tagged a few of my market pals below — apologies if I’ve missed anyone!

Also… the absolute highlight of my day was this beautiful Tulip bouquet gift from the lovely Michelle from @ladyiveaghflowerfarm.

She surprised me with something so beautiful that I genuinely don’t know what I could ever give her in return, her creations are just amazing!

We both agreed that wine is due this evening — she’s a real lady, always so kind and warm.

If you’ve ever spotted the Lunaria earrings on my website (actually, I think they might be sold out now), those are made using flowers grown by Michelle and her husband in Tipperary. So if you’re planning a dried floral wedding this summer and want that natural, homegrown feel — go check out her page. Her creations are next level.

Wishing you guys a super rest of Sunday and a smashing week ahead, I know I’ll be elbow deep in resin working with all my brides!

Love

Roxy
