NEWARK INDIE FILM FEST
WINNER : BEST ARTHOUSE SHORT
& WINNER : BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR
______________________________________________________________

Thank you so so much @newarkindiefilmfest for selecting POV as the winner for both the Best ArtHouse Short & Best Supporting Actor Florimond Patrick. I’m so proud and grateful that our work is being seen and nominated. Congratulations Flo and our cast and crew for these wins!

And congratulations to @jpalmieri13 & @frovideo_ for their win for Best Editing for Carver : NYE!

And special thanks to @kazytauginas and the committee of judges who voted for both ‘Carver NYE’ & ‘P.O.V’ and for curating such a beautiful and strong block of films, it was inspiring to be in the company of such talented filmmakers. Beautiful work from everyone that worked on and was included in the festival. One of the first times I felt my work truly belonged. So elated that I got to connect with so many like minded creators.

Congrats again to my multi talented friends @frovideo_ & @jesxdav on their respective wins at this years @newarkindiefilmfest !! 👏🏼🫶🏼🎥 Andrew won Best Editing for his incredible work on my film CARVER: NYE & Jes won Best Arthouse for her film POV. I’m so proud of both them.

Andrew has been w/ the Carve series since I created it 5 yrs ago. His work as editor, DP, & producer has brought the series to new heights. Look at the CARVER: NYE horror magic he edited & shot on the big screen. This is why he is the king! His win is so deserved. He was also nominated for Best Cinematography. I love watching his craft grow bigger w/ each entry. He always brings my vision to life perfectly. I’m truly grateful I get to create art w/ him & more importantly our friendship. Every filmmaker would be lucky to have him a part of their next film. Dream team forever & always.

Jes truly delivered such a strong directorial debut w/ their film POV. Jes created a truly memorable piece of art. So this Best Arthouse win is very deserved. I’ve been friends w/ Jes for 11 yrs now & I love all the projects we’ve done together & their solo projects continue to thrive. Honestly it made me happy that audiences would get to witness Jes’ powerful performances in both POV & our film CARVER: NYE. Showing that they can do it all. Jes also received Best Styling & Best Director noms for their film POV & a Best Actress nomination for her work in my film, CARVER: NYE.
