A lioness births a lioness!

Holly Okuku has achieved remarkable success on the track, becoming the German U18 and U20 champion in the 200m and playing a key role in helping Germany secure the European U20 title in the 4x100m relay in 2023.

Her talent runs in her blood, as her mother, Florence Ekpo-Umoh, was a track star in her own right. Specializing in the 400m with a blazing Personal Best of 51.13s, Florence represented Nigeria as a junior, winning three medals at the 1994 African U20 Championships.

After switching allegiance to Germany in 2000, she competed in two Olympic Games and earned multiple medals at the World and European Championships.

Holly’s commitment to @texastfxc is a significant win for both her and the school. Under the guidance of the legendary @coach_floknows, she’s sure to reach her full potential, as he has done with so many athletes before her.

Holly expressed her excitement about this next chapter in a chat with Athletic Heat:

“I truly can’t wait to be coached by @coach_floknows and his team. I feel like they will guide me to success and I am very excited about that ! It has always been my dream to study in America, therefore i‘m happy that this dream is coming true. I will definetly miss my family and friends but they support me in everything I do.”
