Last week, we held a very special event at the historic Petit Palais in Paris - La Nuit des Maîtres was one of those moments that remind us why we love this industry and the people we work with. Bringing together our perfumers, clients, creative partners and colleagues from around the world created a powerful moment of connection for the global Perfumery & Beauty community.
This evening carried particular significance. For the first time in ten years, we named new Master Perfumers in Fine Fragrance, welcoming Marie Salamagne and Frank Voelkl into this distinct circle, which recognizes years of creative excellence, mentorship and contribution to our craft.
It was equally inspiring to celebrate the next generation, with Olivia Hartnell, Florian Pellegrin and Abdulkader Fattouh officially becoming Perfumers. It was a night rich in meaning and symbolism, one that brought our heritage to life while placing creation firmly at the heart of the celebration.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s celebration so memorable!

Meet three new creative voices joining the @dsmfirmenichfine community!

On 23 September, dsm-firmenich officially appointed @a.kaderfattouh, @flo_pellegrin and @eau_livia_ as new fine fragrance perfumers.

All three completed the dsm-firmenich Perfumery Training Programme, further developing their craft in London under the mentorship of Master Perfumer @perfumer138 - the culmination of years of training, dedication and a highly competitive selection process.

Together, they reflect the increasingly global, diverse and culturally rich world of fragrance.

Three journeys. Three creative voices. One new generation shaping the future of perfumery.

I am overjoyed to share that I am officially a perfumer at DSM-Firmenich!

After completing a training programme that spanned 5 cities, across 4 countries, over 3 years, we graduated in the Petit Palais whilst celebrating 2 incredible new master perfumers and our 1 incredible company!

“Thank you” does not convey how grateful I am to Master Martin Koh, our dean and our constant compass, who spent countless hours training us and guiding us through our formation. You believed in me from the very beginning.

And to the incomparable Master Frank Voelkl, whom I’m lucky enough to call my mentor and collaborator: learning from you and experiencing perfumery through your eyes has been a gift. The knowledge you’ve shared will act as a foundation for the rest of my career. It was also extra special to celebrate your new title as Master perfumer, which is so well deserved after your incredible contributions to the world of perfumery.

I am so grateful to all of my mentors that have taught me many things, about perfumery and about life. And to our incredible “school board” that kept us on track. Thank you for always being there to make us feel supported and guided along the way.

To my colleagues that I worked with, learned from, and grew with: I am so excited for our journey to continue and for us to push the boundaries of our world even further.

Finally, thank you to my friends and family - my husband, parents, and siblings especially, who kept me going on the hard days and celebrated with me on the great days. I hope to keep you smelling great for the rest of our lives!

A few weeks ago, Amouage invited a group of special guests, including our perfumers, to the birthplace of Wadi Dawkah Omani’s Frankincense. The Wadi Dawkah Omani Frankincense Essential Oil is a new natural ingredient, whose creation is made possible by a partnership between Amouage and dsm-firmenich. Distilled according to the highest standards, this pure essential oil is obtained from harvesting the resin of frankincense trees on the Wadi Dawkah UNESCO Heritage Site, in Oman’s historical Dhofar region.
Our perfumers also had the privilege to assist to the inauguration of the first stone of the Wadi Dawkah visitor center.
The partnership between Amouage and @dsmfirmenich reinforces our commitment to preserving a centuries-old heritage, while paving the way for greater transparency and sustainability in perfumery.
