DTIYS Showcase! The challenge is officially over! 🎨 A big thank you to @floeckli.line and @tassers_atelier for joining and bringing their own styles to the character. It was great to see how differently the same idea can be interpreted!

Artfight 2026 21-30! (apologies to those i missed on tagging and to those im being annoying to by tagging 🙇) Shortly into this batch I was inspired to attempt an attack in oil pastel, for Pablo. The original artist had a bunch of lovely grittiness that I knew I couldn't achieve in copic, so I jumped to oil pastel. THEN NOT TOO LONG AFER, I WAS ATTACKED WITH THE LOVELIEST EM ANIMATION 🥺🥹 and I felt so amped and inspired to return an animation too, but I am not good at it so instead I did what I could do best--which was 3D model their oc (Wyatt, already in the last batch of attacks so yes I attacked same oc twice) and make a little standalone unity diorama for them. Still feeling the oil pastel, I kept adding more in whenever I felt I could better convey their vibe through pastel instead. It truly adds a lovely grittiness/glitchiness via the impasto.

Change the pose, use any technique, and make it yours—just keep the character recognizable. 📅 Deadline: August 25 Full rules are in the carousel. I can't wait to see your version. Have fun! 🐸 #TheFrogPeriod #DTIYS #DrawThisInYourStyle #CharacterDesign #CreatureDesign Illustration
