Music, Art, and Supremacy Before we learned to speak in passports and paperwork, we spoke in rhythm. We spoke in color. We spoke in hum, in drum, in stitched pattern, in the kind of knowing that doesn’t need translation. Music is a language. Not metaphorically, literally. It enters the body and rearranges it. Turns skin into antenna. Pulls tears from places logic can’t reach. Raises goosebumps like the soul standing at attention. And art art is another alphabet. Line, shadow, symbol, geometry, red a sentence written in silence that still gets answered inside you. These are not just “things we like.” They are portals. A way the unseen speaks back. Because what is a prayer if not vibration? What is a prayer if not intention placed into sound, into pigment, into breath? Sometimes you hear a song and it feels like someone touched your spirit with a familiar hand. Sometimes you stand before an image and your chest understands before your mind does. That is communication. And supremacy has always known this. That’s why it fears drums. Why it polices hair, language, dance, body. Why it labels our symbols “primitive,” our rituals “dangerous,” our ancestors “myths.” Supremacy doesn’t only conquer land. It tries to conquer meaning. It tries to control what is sacred and who is allowed to feel it. Because a people who can still sing are a people who can still remember. A people who can still make beauty are a people who cannot be fully owned. Music keeps the evidence. Art keeps the memory. Even when history is edited, even when names are erased, the body still recognizes the frequency. So when a song saves you, when a painting steadies you, when rhythm brings you back to yourself that isn’t random. That is the higher world reaching through the veil to say: you are not alone. you are connected. you are still here. This is why we cry. This is why we tremble. This is why we heal in sound. Because music and art are not entertainment. They are language. They are prayer. They are the soul refusing to be silenced.
