Dreaming of a Golden Bay elopement? ✨

I’ve put together a full Golden Bay Elopement Guide covering where to elope, beautiful places to stay, things to do while you’re there + plenty of ideas for making your wedding feel like a whole experience.

Basically, a little starting point for planning something pretty special in this beautiful part of New Zealand.

It might be just the two of you getting married….but there can be a pretty wonderful team behind it 💛

So, I’m starting a new series…The People Behind Your Elopement.

I’ll be introducing you to some of the people, places and suppliers who can become part of your day, what they actually bring to the experience, and a few of the wonderful humans I love working with along the way.

Because a big part of what I do is help you find the right people to bring your day to life ✨

Keep an eye out for the first in the series 👀

Maybe you don’t want less of a wedding.

Maybe you just want more of what matters.

More time together. More freedom. More intention. And a day that feels completely like you.

If you’re wondering what your version of an elopement could actually look like, I’d love to dream it up with you.

Elopement enquiries are open for 2026 & 2027 ~ get in touch via the link in my bio.

Why I believe smaller weddings can create bigger memories….

Not because bigger weddings can’t be beautiful, they absolutely can!

But there’s something about stripping away everything you feel like you should do that makes space for the things you actually want to remember.

A slow morning instead of rushing through a timeline.

Vows you can say without wondering who’s listening.

Time to sit, eat, drink champagne and actually take in the fact that you just got married.

An afternoon spent somewhere incredible, simply because you wanted to go there.

A dinner that lasts for hours.

The freedom to change plans because the light is beautiful, the weather has shifted, or you’re just not ready to leave yet.

When there are fewer expectations, fewer moving parts and fewer people to consider, your wedding can become less about hosting an event and more about experiencing it.

And I think that’s what I love most about elopements.

They give you permission to make the day smaller in all the obvious ways…

and somehow, make the moments feel so much bigger.

Sounds like the kind of wedding day you’ve been dreaming of? Elopement bookings are open for 2027✨

One of the beautiful things about eloping? Your vows can really, truly be yours 💛

No standing in front of a room full of people wondering what they might think.

No holding back because your parents are listening.

No worrying that you’re being too emotional, too personal, too funny…or that your vows don’t sound like what you think wedding vows *should* sound like.

You can tell your person exactly what you want them to know.

The little things. The big things. The stories only the two of you understand. The promises that are completely yours.

Because really, your vows aren’t for anyone else.

They’re for the person standing in front of you ✨

P.S. The vow books you see here are available from the Aurea shop…. a little something to keep those words safe forever 😘

There’s something pretty special about being trusted to bring someone else’s vision to life.

This styled winter elopement for @aureastudio.nz was one of those shoots that reminded me just how much talent we have right here in our region. A wild winter coastline, a beautiful vision, and an incredible group of talented women all coming together to create something pretty special.

A little winter magic at Wharariki ✨

A little something we’ve been creating behind the scenes… and I’m so excited to finally start sharing it!

A beautiful day at Wharariki, bringing together an incredible group of creatives and a vision I’ve had in my head for a little while now.

This feels like such a special glimpse into what’s to come for Aurea; intentional, intimate elopements in some of the most beautiful corners of New Zealand.

And this is only the beginning ✨
