August was so good to me.

Got to spend time with so many faves this month by attending conferences together, vacationing, hosting visits, curating L2LMixers and to being honored.

September will be even sweeter. 💛🍋

We love a rooftop theme! Y'all understood the assignment.

The @fairlanehotelrooftop was made for the #L2LMIXER 💛

It set the background and we brought the vibes and the energy.

Who else has a plant that’s equal parts gorgeous and dramatic? 🌿😆

My neon pothos on a moss pole is definitely high-maintenance, but those oversized leaves make every watering session worth it. Watching it climb and mature has been so rewarding!

When it comes to plants, I’m literally figuring it out as I go. I’m no pro, but I’m loving the journey! If you’re interested in the pieces I used to create my moss pole, just check out the Plant Life section of my Amazon store. Pothos came from @floradayleaf .

I just placed my new ferns from @floradayleaf into my planters and I love how bushy they are! I’m keeping it simple this year but it will definitely be green around here!

Thank you to @floradayleaf for letting me tag along with her yesterday for @thenmaam Women In Harmony event. She had some of her planters throughout!

I walked away from the event with quite a few jewels and nuggets.

My favorite quote came from @morgandebaun (Blavity, Afrotech) after she asked, what does your calendar look like… “Plan for who you are becoming and build intention around it… Did you do what you said you would do?” Such a timely reminder that I needed to hear! Major bonus being able to walk away with a copy of Morgan’s book.

Being able to see @michellewilliams was a treat. Her conversation on mental health is needed.

Lastly, hearing @fyutch and his daughter was a breath of fresh air. Simply beautiful to see and hear.

I 🖤 Black Business.. On the last weekend of Black History Month, I played both days of the 7th Annual Expo presented by @thenashvilleblackmarket.

This event brought dozens of black entrepreneurs, educators, and artists together to share their amazing stories, products and services. Major thank you to @im_loso & @dariusbuilds for having me!

My favorite thing I picked up was probably a spider plant from @floradayleaf 🪴 And of course I had to rock local black owned pieces from @musiccityvtg & @maisondixxon to represent!

I couldn’t imagine a better way to close a historic month in Nashville ✊🏽🖤 See y’all next year!
