The bidding is officially OPEN!

We’ve had such an incredible response from our community wanting to support Rooted in Place, our film premiere and fundraiser, that we’ve opened the auction to everyone. Whether you’re joining us at the premiere or bidding from home, you can participate!

There are some pretty incredible items up for grabs, including one-of-a-kind paintings created at our farmers’ markets, local food and goods, vacation getaways, unique experiences, and more.

And yes, the original Matt Beard painting created en plein air at the Arcata Plaza Farmers’ Market is officially up for bid!

The auction is open now and closes Thursday, September 24 at 9pm.

Every bid supports NCGA’s work to build stronger food system for our farmers, ranchers, food producers, and communities across the North Coast.

Head to the link in our bio to browse the auction and start bidding.

And please share it with your friends and family so they can join in, too!

Thank you for being part of this community and supporting local food on the North Coast.

🍔 It’s NCJ Burger Week, and we are so excited to share this year’s creation with you 😍

Introducing the ‘Rock’ N Fish Burger!

In honor of our NCJ ‘Best of Humboldt’ win for Best Seafood Restaurant, we bring you this housemade Local Rock Fish Patty, fresh off the boat ‘Markit8’ from @joshauckland1975 🙌🏼

The patty is seasoned and grilled to perfection, then layered on a toasted brioche bun with a bright and savory celery & lemon relish, shaved local cabbage from @floraorganicafarm and @wcfarms, and our housemade dilly tartar. Served with hand punched fries or our seasonal Farm Salad from @ncga.harvesthub 🌱

This burger is one for the books - don’t miss it! Available for Lunch & Dinner, 7 days a week 👌🏼

Much Love,
Betsy & Luka ❤️

Every Wednesday at HBSC is Soul Night.

That midweek moment when the kitchen starts cooking the kind of food that makes you forget what day it is. Crispy, juicy chicken. Plates that don’t mess around. Real comfort food.

Shrimp and grits might make an appearance tonight… still TBD.

Big love to the farms that help keep the kitchen stocked with incredible local produce:
@abc_farms
@floraorganicafarm
@palmerfamilyfarm

Local farms that want to get involved? Reach out. We love cooking what Humboldt grows.

No membership required. Just good vibes. 🍗

This could be you: catching up with a friend over a glass of wine or NA Kombucha, enjoying the many seasonal offerings we love to showcase.

One of our favorite things about being a part of this community is our ability to work with so many local farmers to create the freshest meals using wholesome and seasonal ingredients. Our Farm Salad always hits the spot, especially when paired with a seasonal entree. Thanks to our farmers at @shakeforkcommunityfarm @floraorganicafarm @woodyryno for these beautiful veggies!

Tag a friend you’d love to share this meal with ❤️

Much Love ❤️
