What a blessing it was
To be able to come and support
@thebartwinders as he hosted
A sampling with the USBG
Of the Twin Cities for @bayabgin

It lead to ultimately spending
The day with him, learning about
The rich bar scene history out in
Minneapolis St Paul.

S/O to the amazing connections
Also made along the way.
I’ll definitely be joining the USBG
Now that I’m more knowledgeable 😌

🦪 Flora Room | North Loop

Flora Room is dark, moody, plant-filled and tucked beneath Porzana in the North Loop. And when we say dark, we mean DARK. Your eyes will adjust. Eventually. 😂

No oyster happy hour here, but there are plenty of ways to make your oysters interesting. Go natural with lemon, horseradish + mignonette ($4.50) or dressed with sea bean, chili vinegar, orange + basil oil ($6).

Feeling adventurous? Add caviar, uni or bone marrow flambadou. We tried the caviar because Shuck Around is nothing if not committed to research. 🧐

Verdict: caviar may be an acquired taste, and apparently we have not acquired it yet. But we tried!

The cocktail menu is every bit as adventurous, with creative ingredients and fanciful glassware that make ordering a drink half the fun. 🍸✨

And one important development…

🌶️ We have officially started carrying our own Tabasco.

You can’t leave these things to chance.

📍 Flora Room | North Loop, Minneapolis
🦪 Natural: $4.50 each
✨ Dressed: $6 each
🥄 Caviar / uni / bone marrow: AVAILABLE
🍸 Cocktails: CREATIVE
🕯️ Lighting: BRING YOUR NIGHT VISION
🌶️ Tabasco: WE CAME PREPARED

if the last year looked like this, i cant wait for the next one 🍀🫀 #27

Found our favorite martini spot, mayhem ball, first lunar new year party, started my dream doctoral program, got my first tattoo with my sister from a visiting Korean artist, worked a lot, softball with the fur babies, got the wordle in 2, gained a bonus sister, flew on a plane with Lucky and so much more. How good can life get?
