I was inspired by @more.than.manga to make a version of this post last year, so when I recently saw her posting round two I wanted to update mine as well. These are all books I’ve read since last October.

I always tell people my brain is swiss cheese, so the details of stories tend to get lost no matter how much I’ve enjoyed them. The post highlights exceptions: books I can ACTUALLY still tell you something about 😂 This does include one I just read this week but can already tell will be haunting me…!

But anyways here are some of our recs that have fantastic mental health rep (as well as some that are on our TBR). As therapists, we know how important it is to represent mental health in an appropriate way and these authors crushed it if you were looking for great mental health representation try these books and if you have any of your own drop them in the comments.

And to those struggling, it may feel lonely and isolating, but trust us it is not something you have to do alone l. you are not alone, and you are worthy of being here and taking up space.

So, if you don’t know, Halloween is my 𝑭𝑨𝑽𝑶𝑹𝑰𝑻𝑬 season( yes season)of the year. And personally, I think Halloween starts the day after Labor Day. Don’t fight me, fight your mama.

Anyway, I decided to have a little fun with some of my favorite MCs and throw them into their very own horror movie.

Now, let me tell y’all something. THIS WAS HARD. Because why was I going back through my highlights looking for quotes and somehow ended up adding all these books back to my Kindle so I could reread them?! Like, girl, we have other books to read. Including ARCs lol.

But let’s keep it a 💯 . NONE of these men are actually dying. Why you ask? Because every single one of them has an absolutely UNHINGED partner who would burn the entire world down before letting anything happen to their man. So realistically, this horror movie would be over in about 15 minutes.

But we’re here for the plot, the drama, and a few giggles, so just go with it.
