Run’n’bass 💚 - a message from the founder

Watching the London Marathon this weekend was so inspiring. It reminded me how powerful running communities are, and made me reflect on what we’ve built with runnbass - and where it goes next.

Nearly two years ago, I started runnbass with a simple idea - to bring people together through running, music, and community.

It was always about creating something within the music and rave scene that supported mental and physical health - somewhere to meet up sober, share music, discover events, move together, and connect beyond the dancefloor. And I feel really proud of what we created.

It’s been incredible hearing that runnbass started so many people on their running journeys, and so cool to watch their confidence grow over time. I’ve also discovered SO MANY new artists, genres, and events that completely expanded my relationship with music. We’ve put on raves, workshops and have a whole SoundCloud library of mixes

Along the way, I met some of my absolute best friends & it’s absolutely changed my life in the most positive way ✨

Over time, runnbass grew into something really special - but organising structured weekly events alongside everything else wasn’t sustainable long term. Taking a step back made me realise something needed to change, and it also gave me time to fall back in love with running myself.

So this isn’t the end of runnbass - but it is a shift.

The structured weekly runs are coming to an end for now, but the community isn’t.

Less structure, more freedom - spontaneous runs, trail days, races, music sharing, new events, and time in nature. The group chat has stayed alive through everything - it’s where we plan runs, trips, races, and nights out, and that part isn’t going anywhere.
