XVI Paul Verlaine

LUCIA CRISTIANI (1991)
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘊𝘭𝘶𝘣, 2022. Scheletrati odontoiatrici in lega stellite, cromo, cobalto e molibdeno saldati a laser. 58x40x15 cm

𝘡𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘭𝘪, Performance 2022. Denti provvisori policarbonati galvanizzati in argento.
Performer: Mai Ndiaye, Pietro Agostini

A POTION FOR A SPELL, 2025, Montepulciano (SI) A FLOWER that can be trampled on without losing its petals or wilting, A SNAIL that can be trampled on without breaking its shell, A BLACKBERRY that is red inside like blood, that can be trampled on without staining it or getting pricked by brambles, A NEST because nothing distinguishes birds from humans more than the way they manage to build while leaving the landscape unscathed. A CHEWING GUM that can be trampled on without sticking to your shoe, A KEY that doesn’t bounce jingling down the street when you kick it, A PIG BUT that burns even after being trampled on and will never burn out again, A RAG that has flown away from who knows where, that can be trampled on without slipping. A PUDDLE that can be stepped on leaving our feet dry, A STONE that can be used to build or used to destroy, A BREATH that is difficult to see... it seems to me that art is a wind and the wind can only be seen inside a tent, or a sail, or a poor rag. But we must not confuse the breath with the moving fabric. The artist needs a material, but only to make that breath visible. THE ASH that has been dispersed by the breath and can be trampled on without getting dusty.
