it’s been a year since I started this process and i wanted to reflect on the great talent and community created on this film. it was an absolute pleasure and privilege to work with such talented actors like Katherine, Jorge, Azalia, and Adriana as I scrub through my editing timeline want to highlight our dp & gaffer duo who worked hours on end to make sure each frame of this movie ate. they couldn’t have achieved such amazing work without everyone else on the team who played their part. the post production process has reminded me of all the amazing memories and work we created. i just have to stop myself and admire the work we have done. the journey of this movie is not over but i wanted to share with you a glimpse of what’s coming.

holaaaa!! ✨huge ✨ update on my short film El Remedio! here are some bts photos shot by @las_memorias_ 🫶🏽. thank you to EVERYONE who supported the production of this film in january. every share we got and every donation we got was so helpful to the production of this film and i can not express how appreciative i am 🥲. like any production, we ran into some hurdles in our journey but my team worked with me effortlessly to complete the film. because of that we had 4 additional shoots in march, april, june, and august. these are some bts from january and i’ll be sharing more from the latest shoots! once again thank you to everyone who donated, was part of crew, and cast i could not do this alone! i’m so excited to share what we made together 🫶🏽🇲🇽✨

"...and there were all these images of what the future looked like. Barren wastelands, cities in ruins, corporate takeovers. Dystopia. Everyone for themselves.

A dark lonely cruel world.

It's like we'd already lost. Like we'd given up.
We got so used to calling out the hypocrisy and the broken system, that instead of fighting or rebellion, it was accepting. There's no counter culture if you accept it and go with it.

So, some people started planting flowers between the cracks in the buildings. They started taking what they had and sharing it with others. Not even necessarily as a fuck you to the system - though it could seem an indirect resistance.

Moreso because, why suffer if you can find ways not to. Alone, together, why not find something better and celebrate it. Life is short. I think I understand why they chose this instead.."
