Don't Gain The World & Lose Your Soul, Wisdom Is Better Than Silver Or Gold.

And here is #2 #portland #oregon

Still in the land where the wall art’s loud,
And three mustaches somehow make a crowd.
Where bikes have feelings and pigeons judge,
And nobody moves without artisan sludge.

You haven’t gone far, so don’t lose the track—
Think what might happen when something hits back.
Or what thirsty weirdos might do with a drink,
One little motion should make the name click.

No need to wander clear across town,
Stay with the murals and keep looking around.
Where a taproom neighbor might answer your knock,
Your next little marble is close to that block.

And goooo …
Where murals stare and weird gets proud,
Where beanies bloom in every crowd,
Where somebody’s bike costs more than your car,
And oat milk somehow became a bar.

There’s art nearby and beer not far,
A tattooed dog might be a local star.
Don’t ask a barista, don’t summon a crow,
The thing that you’re hunting is down below.

Find one old rock just minding its biz,
Acting like nothing suspicious is his.
Give that chunky little landlord a knock—
Your marble’s playing rent-free under a rock.

When the movie gets good and the action gets loud,
something jumps in just to sell to the crowd.
Take what that’s called and you’re headed the way,
to a road with that very same word in play.

Now find you a place with a curious trick,
cross a few borders and its name may switch.
Different sign hanging, but under the skin,
the very same family is running within.

Once you have found it, don’t wander the floor,
the thing that you’re hunting ain’t through any door.
Find cold metal lines standing steady and straight,
keeping folks guided while quietly they wait.

Don’t search where the hands would normally be—
look where most people would never quite see.
A tiny little marker is tucked out of sight,
find the right railing and you’ve got it right. #goodluck #salem #oregon #happy #hunting

Built to haul, but crouched down low,
Far too mean for a grocery show.
A lettered beast with six in tow,
Sits where louder machines may go.

Don’t search its belly, wheel, or door,
The answer sleeps much closer to floor.
Beside something tall that once had roots,
Look for black that belongs under boots.

Wood stands watch while rubber lies flat,
What you came for is under that. #goodluck

I lived one life before this skin,
then lost the name I entered in.
The sign went dark, the fire stayed,
an orphan born from what decayed.

My title is a constant war,
one leaves as one approaches shore.
They trade the throne but never meet,
yet both belong above one street.

That street was christened not for trees,
nor saints, nor men, nor memories.
Its name is what the merchants do
when something leaves their hands for you.

Now hunt a number dressed as time,
four figures hiding in the rhyme.
The year a hungry yellow face
first chased four ghosts around a maze.

Inside, the missing part is prized;
the emptiness is advertised.
Some wear a twist, some wear a crown,
some enter pale and leave there brown.

So find the place that changed its face,
but never truly left its place.
Where opposite halves divide the sky,
the sweetest circles wait nearby. … #goodluck #salem #oregon #marblesofig

Begin where a river gives borrow to name,
Though nowhere nearby does its water lay claim.
A “town” with no mayor, no courthouse, no square,
Just merchants in rows and wheels everywhere.

From there seek a kingdom with numbers for pride,
Where eleven stand counted, yet none stand outside.
No athletes compete and no scoreboard will glow,
But crowds come and vanish in regular flow.

Now leave what draws people and search what stays still,
A worker at rest with mechanical will.
Its color is borrowed from pine after rain,
Its purpose is lifting, though now it is chained.

It waits inside borders that nobody sees
As walls, though they’re drawn with remarkable ease.
Two prongs point ahead like a beast set to feed—
Find where it sleeps, and you’ll find what you need. #goodluck #happyhunting

I am a place where leaving with what isn’t yours
doesn’t make you a thief.

The voices inside me belong to people
who may be living, dead, real, or never born.

Nothing here is sold,
yet thousands of things change hands.

Some arrive searching for one answer
and leave carrying a hundred questions.

I have no classroom,
yet lessons wait in every direction.

What you take, you’re expected to bring back.
What you gain, you’re expected to keep.

Don’t search for the treasure
until you know what kind of place can do both. #goodluck #salem #oregon

A street named for business holds no merchandise of its own.
Find it downtown.

Stand where borrowed numbers sleep across the way,
then study the neighbors without entering them.

One makes permanent what began as a drawing.
One sells pieces of places that took longer than people to exist.
One borrowed its name from those who build with what the earth leaves behind.

Three answers are wrong.

The space you want survives in their company.

Cross that threshold and forget the map.
From here forward, nothing online can finish this for you.

Find the sentence inside that sounds like advice
from somebody who would rather speak to something
that drinks without a mouth
than something that questions with a badge.

Do not obey the sentence.

Instead, find the thing capable of holding
what the sentence prefers.

But dirt is not your destination.

Something dark interrupts the natural order.

Lift the interruption.

What everyone else sees is above it.

What you came for is not.

Where Market meets the freeway’s five,
A black beauty waits nearby.
Don’t search the front, don’t look inside—because it’s tucked right behind.

This town borrowed a famous name, but left the big hats somewhere else. Head west from the capital until small-town starts looking like downtown. Find the old brick place where tiny travelers leave every day without feet, wheels, or a suitcase. Stay outside. Where purple stands guard and dirt sits higher than the sidewalk, dig with your eyes — not your hands. Gold doesn’t always grow on trees. 👀
