A bedroom should be more than a beautiful place to sleep—it should be a space that supports the way you actually begin & end your days.

For our Primary Bedroom, that meant being really intentional about the layers we brought in and choosing pieces that added comfort, function & personality to the room.

Our cozy @levtexhome bedding brought in so much of the softness and layering we wanted, while the bedside lamps from @flowdecor help create a warmer, quieter feeling at the beginning & end of the day. Throughout the room, we layered in furnishings, textiles & finishing details available through House Sprucing to bring the entire space together.

Swipe through for a few of my favorite design takeaways from the space, then head to the House Sprucing blog for the full Behind the Design.

And if this has you thinking about your own bedroom, we’d love to help you create a space that feels just as personal to you. House Sprucing offers virtual & in-person interior design services for everything from full remodels to furnishing & styling.

Welcome to our Primary Bedroom. 🤎

After years of having a light, bright + airy space, Tyson and I were ready for something that felt a little moodier, more layered and more like a retreat at the end of the day.

We’ve lived in this home for nearly a decade, and this room has been part of so many seasons of our family’s life. This time around, I wanted to create a space that still felt like us, but also gave us a calm, comfortable place to begin and end our days.

We leaned into a warmer, color-drenched palette, cozy layers, beautiful textures and pieces we genuinely use every day. Our @levtexhome bedding brought in so much of the softness and comfort I wanted, while our @flowdecor bedside lighting helps create that quieter, cozy feeling at the end of the day. At the foot of the bed, our @rowefinefurniture bouclé ottomans add another layer of texture while also being pieces our family actually uses.

I’m a big believer that your Primary Bedroom shouldn’t always be the space you save for last. You spend so much of your life here, and it deserves the same thought and intention you give to the rest of your home.

I’m so excited to finally welcome you into this next chapter of the Fujikawa Home Remodel.

If your own bedroom is ready for a refresh—or there’s another space in your home you’re ready to rethink—we’d love to help. House Sprucing offers virtual + in-person interior design services. Reach out to our team to get started.

A primary suite that looks different every time the light changes. The wallcovering is real capiz shells and mica minerals, and the layered neutrals and textures in the room feel like a natural extension of it.

A warm welcome at this condo entry. White oak wall panelling sets the backdrop for the newly delivered Sunpan console, with drawers to tuck keys and gloves neatly out of sight.

The sculptural sunburst mirror adds a beautiful focal point, while a mix of pottery, porcelain birds and warm lamplight brings interest and personality. Practical pieces, thoughtful details… this foyer is coming together.

Good design should work for real life! 👉🏻 This room needed to do a little bit of everything. It’s the husband’s home office, but it also doubles as an additional guest suite when friends and family come to stay.

We wanted it to feel like a true part of the home, not a room that was only functional when guests arrived. The fishing-inspired artwork adds a personal touch and reflects the homeowners’ love of fishing culture, while the furnishings keep the space comfortable and practical for everyday use. Because a well-designed home should work beautifully for the way you actually live. 💙

This beautiful antique cupboard, sourced from The Olde Meeting House Antiques, is bringing so much warmth and character to the entry hallway.

We’re now waiting for the perfect painting to complete the vignette—and I’m excited to meet the artist on Monday to pick it up. I love watching these thoughtful layers come together!

Building the layers in this newly renovated living room . New carpet in place, and the room is starting to feel pulled together. Soft blues and greens, warm wood, textured fabrics and the stone fireplace—each brings something lovely to the mix.

Next up .. the ottoman goes out to be reupholstered and new coffee table being sourced.

25,000 square feet on a Cabo San Lucas hillside, designed from the beginning and delivered complete.

The entry: A dramatic entryway piece by @phillipsco sets the tone before you’ve seen a single room.

The outdoor terrace: @glosterfurniture dining and @brownjordan1945 poolside furniture set against @pomogranitstones tile, with @uttermostcompany accessories woven through every corner of the home.

The dining room: A custom flat-cut white oak table anchors the space beneath curved pendants, surrounded by cane chairs and art sourced directly from Colombia. The wine cellar visible just beyond the room makes sure dinner never runs short.

The primary suite: @romo_fabrics Archipelago pearl wallpaper covers the accent wall in a pattern that shifts with the light, framed by @vanguardfurniture nightstands, a @palecekdesign chandelier overhead, and capiz shell wall art panels that carry the feeling of the ocean into the room.

The TV room: An interior and exterior space connected by a @centuryfurniture sectional and @hudsonvalleylighting chandelier inside, @fourhandsfurniture sofa and @arteriorshome mirror outside. One room or two, depending on the time of day.

The living room: @thayercoggin acrylic lounge chairs and sectional surround a @taraceafurniture coffee table, @reginaandrewdetroit lamps, and Rene Casares blue chairs that give the neutral palette its moment of contrast.

✨ Save this post and come back to it when you need some inspiration.
