. . Surrender . For Downfall of the Idols, Ora Agi (Maria Villalonga) turns her focus inward. Through her self portrait, she gives form to an inner drive—an ongoing pull that shapes her daily life. She is continually humbled by her own humanity, as she feels an overwhelming desire to reach toward infinity: something forever distant, mysterious, and devastatingly beautiful. This beauty possesses her with its transformative force, urging her toward the impossible. In attempting to hold it, she inevitably confronts the limits of her human form. Ultimately, she finds herself surrendering to this transcendental experience, seeking the paths through which she can devote herself to it. . Ora Agi found her own sense of purpose in the pursuit of transcendental beauty and in the act of sharing its fleeting impressions. Surrender is her expression of that devotion—a work that embodies the yielding, the commitment, and the deeply personal turmoil that beauty draws to the surface. .
