Extension costs part 2💰💰💰

I finally feel like we’re getting somewhere! The footings are done, meaning we can now work on getting this up to DPM. After being quoted £10k to get it to this stage, and only spending £3.5k, I am so so pleased with our budget control so far! If you haven’t seen part 1, that shows the total cost from the mortgage broker up to the demolition of our old building. Taking our total costs to just over £7k in total 🙌

We have since had a week away and let me tell you it was absolutely needed! This whole DIY lark is a bit of graft ya know 🤪 But we are back now and ready for the next stage!

Extension costs so far… 💰💰💰

I wanted to document this extension in a way that people could relate to and see really how far a budget can go. We have no idea ourselves yet how far this £40k is going to get us 🤣 but hopefully it’s far enough to make it worth all the effort of doing everything we can ourselves instead of hiring one company to project manage.

I was also lucky enough to work with @fluent_ads ad on the floorplans for this which has thankfully saved us some money along the way, and they wanted to spread the love and offer my followers a discount also by using this code VC75. Happy Sunday 🙌

Thought I’d show you a glimpse of my plans for our new kitchen diner pending soon! I say soon, we haven’t done much. We are spending the day knocking down the old building and the groundwork is due to start in August. It’s going to be a veryyyy slow process, but I’m sure it’s going to be so worth it 🫶

F I N A L L Y!!!

This was always the plan.. the minute we bought this house we knew with the good sized garden it had, we could extend and create the kitchen this house needed. Well the interest rates had other ideas for us.. but now, 4 years later, it is finally happening! It still feels too good to be true 🤭 we haven’t broken ground yet but I cannot wait for the chaos the begin!

ad| Thank you so much to @fluent_ads who have made this process sooo calm and easy! They are so experienced and listened carefully to exactly what I wanted and absolutely smashed the floorplan!
