@hotluckfest truly brought the heat 🔥

Giddy Up at @franklinbbq: open-fire cooking from chefs across the country, whole hog bánh xèo from @khoibarbecue, Lenoir’s mini green chorizo corn dog with yellow mole, smash burgers from @franklinbbq, oysters from @austinoysterco, treats from @fluffbakebar, @paprikaatx had a serious line for their tacos, Thai shrimp salad from @holybasil_la, the perfect bite from @birdiesaustin, and more! Then the smoke cleared and we headed over to @mohawkaustin for Mon Rovîa to close the night.

The whole weekend benefits the Southern Smoke Foundation. Thanks for having me, @hotluckfest!

WHAT A WEEKEND!!

Every year @southernsmokefoundation puts on the best food party in Houston while raising money for industry workers. This year the festival raised a whopping $2 MILLION!! I had the pleasure of cooking up some Cheesesteaks as part of @basscheesesteaks tour. In between that, I got to sample some of the bites offered by our friends throughout the festival. As always thank you to @cshepherd13 , @htownlindseybrown and the entire foundation for everything you do!

Not just my friend, but truly one of my favorite chefs ever @chefthomas812

Had a meal at @dakarnola few weeks ago. Was great to see the squad out making seafood sausages.

@the_shuaiwang also had one of my favorite bites, hot pot lamb taco.

Saturday at Discovery Green tasted like this. 🔥 (part 1)

Nearly a hundred chefs, one lawn, four hours of the best eating in Houston - all of it backing food and beverage workers in crisis.

Skewers over open flame. A scallop still in its shell. Sandwiches built like they mean it. And the people - laughing, feeding each other, showing up for their own.

This is why I shoot food. Not the plates. The people behind them.

Were you there Saturday? What was your best bite?

Today was one of those days that fills your cup all the way up. ❤️

First, the Fluff team absolutely crushed it at Southern Smoke Festival today. I’m so incredibly proud of this crew and grateful that they show up—for me, for each other and for this community. They worked their asses off today and I wouldn’t want to do this with anyone else.

And then there’s @southernsmokefoundation

Today, this incredible community raised $2 MILLION to help people in the food & beverage industry when they need it most. Two. Million. Dollars. Let that sink in.

That doesn’t happen without every chef who cooked, every bartender who poured, every wine shop that showed up, every volunteer who worked behind the scenes and most importantly, every single guest who bought a ticket, ate, drank and supported this mission.

This industry takes care of people for a living. Southern Smoke makes sure someone is there to take care of us, too.

What a day. What a community. My feet hurt. My heart is full. ❤️

Thank you, Southern Smoke. And thank you, Team Fluff. I love you guys. ✌🏻❤️🍪

15 days! That’s all that stands between you and Giddy Up. The official kick-off to this years Hot Luck and we’ve assembled one helluva lineup. Check out our Reel of heavy-hitters.

Friendly reminder though, Giddy Up is exclusive to Whole Enchilada pass holders. If you want in, you need the big-dog ticket.

We still have a sliver of Whole Enchilada passes left, but they’re moving fast. Don’t be the person watching this unfold on your Stories while heating up leftovers in the microwave.
