Why sitting early may be ruining your delivery 👀

A lot of pitchers shrink their back leg or start sitting before they reach the top of their leg lift. It feels like you’re loading up, but it gets you stuck over the rubber. You load before you move, lack momentum, and end up rotating earlier to try and create velocity ❌

Watch Gerrit Cole, Zack Wheeler, Jacob Misiorowski and Cam Flukey. At the top of their leg lifts, all four have a straight, tall back leg 📏

Staying tall lets them start moving down the mound first. Then they sit into the back leg as they go, carrying their momentum toward the plate instead of fighting to create it from a standstill 📈

Get Tall, Then Rip🤝

If you are looking for guidance with your arm-care, this was created for you.
I hate when athletes leave my office feeling and looking good but then start to struggle with either pain or performance issues down the line. This program makes the athlete accountable for their arm health and gives them daily access to me for all related questions and guidance.
I am very excited about this.
The program will start next week. DM or text 609-553-7558 if interested. Limited spots available.

If there's one thing I've learned in my incipient adventure into single player card collecting it's that someday a 1/1 will be valuable. Here's to my new favorite Detroit Tiger becoming a hall of famer.

Hyper Mobile Pec Primers ⚡️

Being hypermobile in the pec is a blessing and a curse as a thrower.

Having a hypermobile pec can give you access to a ton of range and allow you to get really deep into layback.

The problem is when we keep trying to create more mobility in an area that’s already hypermobile.

If you’re constantly stretching the pec and doing excessive mobility work, you can make it harder to build tension, control that range, and produce force through it under load.

For these athletes, the goal isn’t to create more range. It’s to get stronger within the range they already have.

We want to load that tissue, teach the body to create tension from those deeper positions, and ultimately learn how to accelerate the ball from deep.

So instead of asking, “How do we get this pec more mobile?” we should be asking, “How do we make this athlete stronger and more explosive in the range they already own?”

Next, we’ll go over how we like to prime hypermobile pecs before throwing.

A few correctives we use to load mobile pecs:

1. Cable pec fly
2. Depth push-up hold
3. Med Ball Throws
4. 90 90 Plyo Dribbles
