hier gewinnen Talent, Einsatz, Zusammenhalt.

.
Du fühlst dich betroffen oder willst dich beraten lassen? Anlaufstellen gibt es auf Slide 4.
.
Großes Danke an @noellenol für Raum, Platz, Zeit. an @madi.nrecaj für die rechtliche Einschätzung. and @madeby_ari for the illustrations.

The tournament is over. The discussions, somehow, aren't. And here's my last prediction post i did for @fluter . Turns out satire has a terrible habit of aging well.

No guarantees attached, but it seems unfortunately accurate. And for those who are interested: I finished second-last in the family tip pool, which is honestly better than expected. Some predictions worked. Others didn't. The real winners, as always, seem to be somewhere else. The new Fluter magazine #99: Football is out now. Free. Fantastic. Full of football.

Honoured to have images from my series British South Asian Footballers featured in the current issue of @fluter magazine (Heft Nr. 99), which looks critically at the cultural, political, and societal dimensions of football.

This project isn’t about superficial corporate diversity or checking boxes. It’s a document of the grassroots reality for the young players and coaches of Clarksfield & Glodwick FC in Oldham. By focusing the lens inside multi-generational family homes, the work looks past polished platitudes to capture real, lived spaces and reflect on the uneven institutional playing fields that still exist in sport.

A massive thank you to the players, the families, and the team at fluter for giving this work a meaningful home.

The issue is out now in print and available digitally. Link in bio.

Reality out-trumped the prediction.
The new Fluter magazine #99: Football is out now. Free. Fantastic. Full of football.
I got to illustrate another "Heaven and Hell Oracle" prediction. This one imagined Trump making sure he was front and centre in the winners' photo. Turns out reality came up with something even more absurd: getting a red card overturned mid-tournament. Sometimes the oracle underestimates reality.
No guarantees attached. Belgium did win, just by a lot more than I predicted. My family tip pool performance has returned to its natural habitat. Here's hoping today's matches are kinder. ¡Vamos, Albiceleste! and hopp Schwiiz. (original Foto by Ron Sachs / ZUMA Press / IMAGO, auf 11freunde)

Close enough! The prophecy was... approximately correct.
The new Fluter magazine #99: Football is out now. Free. Fantastic. Full of football.
I got to illustrate another "Heaven and Hell Oracle" prediction. Germany wasn't knocked out by Spain after a missing handball penalty. It was Paraguay, a disallowed goal and plenty of post-match discussions instead. Close enough.
No guarantees attached. My football predictions remain questionable, but the oracle still has a better track record than I do.

Winning is overrated.

The new @fluter magazine #99: Football is out now. Free. Fantastic. Full of football.

I got to illustrate another „Heaven and Hell Oracle“ prediction. This one claimed that a team would make it to the knockout stage without winning a single match. Turns out, three draws can get you surprisingly far.

Still no guarantees attached. I’m still notoriously bad at predicting football results, but thanks to a few questionable outsider picks, I’ve now climbed all the way up to third-last place in the family tip pool. At this rate, mediocrity is within reach.
