Thanks to everyone who came by Open Studios last Saturday, 10.10 at |RH| Homewood!

It was lovely opening our studio doors to share a glimpse into our artists’ studio practice. From an artist market to the kids craft zone, there truly was something for everyone. And if you found a rubber duck or two, your HALL PASS just got an upgrade!

How lucky am I to live so close to the magic of Thomas, WV. I got to spend this past weekend soaking it all in. Flowers everywhere, extremely cute dogs, beautiful friends, an early birthday cake that might be the most stunning one I’ve ever seen, some outdoor time, lovely art, a new tattoo, and best of all, submerging myself in my favorite swimming hole again.
Truly the best possible start to birthday week. And since I’m already in celebration mode, might as well pull you into it too — 30% off Sept 1–3 with code BDAY.

Weather’s coolin down and YOU KNOW WHAT WILL BE HERE BEFORE WE ALL KNOW IT?!

It made us a little nostalgic today going through some of these incredible photos by @mercibeauyou with their super special camera— a reminder again that we are so so blessed with talent in all parts of this community, not just the fiber.

The annual RBF Symposium will be held the last Saturday of January again this year, Jan 30th, 2027! Save the date! And if you’re close to Cleveland, come to @oxboworchardohio this Friday for their final Friday but with a fiber twist! A portion of donations goes to the RBF to help us do the dang thing on January 30th, and keep it relatively accessible.

We love this life-giving event so much, and we’d love to have another stellar one this Jan. Many many many more details to come about the symposium, but join us this Friday if you can, and if you can’t, we would so appreciate any donations through our link in bio.

New sewing class next month! The #parkfrock with @flux.bene - this is an upcycling class and beginner friendly, although it’s not for newbies, you must have some prior experience. In this 4 week class starting Aug 12th you will turn a second hand shirt & some new or second hand fabric into a cohesive and thoughtfully designed button front dress! I wandered through the Manayunk Arts Festival yesterday and my little felt feet are officially tired.

I met painters, printmakers, ceramic artists, woodworkers, jewelers, fiber artists, and creators whose work made me stop and stare a little longer. Every booth had its own story, and every artist had their own way of seeing the world.

This is only a tiny snapshot of the day. I came home with a camera full of inspiration, a pocket full of new friends, lots of treasures and about seventeen new ideas for future adventures.

Thank you to every artist who welcomed me into your booth, let me peek a little closer, shared your process, or simply smiled when a tiny blue docent showed up.

Days like this remind me why I do what I do. The arts community isn’t just about finished work—it’s about the people behind it.

Now if you’ll excuse me… I’m going to dream about that pizza. 🍕💙

“I’ve never really liked calling it anxiety because it sounds too organized. It’s more like a thousand cosmic eyeballs all trying to make contact at the same time while every possible future whistles for my attention from across the room. A non-stop parade of what-ifs and maybe-laters, as if the universe keeps handing me backstage passes to realities I’m not even living in, and somehow I’m still expected to remember where I left my keys.

When the signal starts multiplying, I throw a message up the ladder to my higher self to maybe ease up for a minute and let me follow the brightest laser until it burns a clear path through the noise. The rest can wait their turn in eternity.”
