GGP CX FTW.

A few images from the summer series finale put in by @obf415cc and @swellbicycles … how lucky are we to have this. Thanks to all who contribute, ride, organize and cheer.

I brought my little camera with just a 28mm lens this time. Fun to explore the light and dust with a different set up not intended for action sports.

Great to see you all of you legends.

It’s impossible to lose with friends like these. I would bet my last dime on each and every one of you. 🎰

The @csopdx cargo bike 24 hour scavenger hunt was yesterday. It was so good. One of my favorite parts was seeing the other competitors throughout the day around the city trying to get points. I ended up with a little over 57 miles for the day.

Congrats to @rayray.97 for the win, and thank you @zackpizzabikes for organizing!

Carry Shit Olympics continued on Saturday morning with the "carry a human around Ladd's challenge. After that it was twelve more hours of challenges to complete. Some folks rode out to North Plains for a drink at the Last Waterin' Hole for a cool 1000 points. Someone sabotaged the cupcake challenge but a couple of folks improvised to gain some points anyway. The "Mechanic's Challenge" included a few mishaps but everything got corrected.
First place went to Ray, Second Place was Natalie, Third place finisher was Flynn and Chris took home the "Special Award" category. The other incredible mention was that Ray, Flynn and Chris were all on fixies, which proves the adage "every bike is a cargo bike"!

Resetting my perspective on things feels important to do every once in a while. A new frame around how I look at the world, the impact I have on it, and the place that I occupy in it. Get that wayyy zoomed out view serving up a sugar-free slice of humble pie anytime my ego gets all 🤩🏆😏 from putting down big numbers on some new leaderboard. The conversations I have and lessons I try to leave may feel significant, but at the end of the day I’m just another small dot slowly crawling along a highway shoulder in the middle of nowhere. I may not have a drone with me on tour (yet) however I do have pilot ✈️ friends like @flyboirho who will find me in the high desert of Oregon and show me a point of view I could never imagine.

Connection x Coffee! 🙏 Mug by mug we served up the hand drip last Friday morning - it was great to connect with so many people - and seeing other connect.

We make the invite and coffee but everyone showing up makes it a space worth going!

We did have some special coffees, some I brought back from Japan and some that Adam and I roasted!

Look out for next event in late June… we may try to mix it up and make it more adventuresome out on a trail! 🗺️

We love out of town Brompton visitors! When his flight was delayed due to today’s high winds, Matt from Bend, OR stopped in before heading back to O’Hare and chatted with us about flying with his bike.
