Yeah I know, the burn is amazing and transformative and epic and all that.
But honestly this years burn started out super hard for me and I wasn’t even sure I was going to make it. It was a lot to do by myself, preparing, packing, making food, driving for 18 hours strait, during which I fell asleep in line at the wheel and had to literally pee in bottles while driving 😆.
But it was all worth it.
And I have never felt so loved and supported by my friends and my tribe.
I was focusing on radical self reliance this year and I definitely was. I had enough food and space and energy for those who needed it, but I also received so much of all this back. People made space for me, held me, shared deep conversations with me, made me food, let me shower, gave me rides and even had a shade structure for my tent!
I spent very little time on the playa because I realized that what I came for was right there at camp, my community.
I’m so fucking grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 💜
