As a guide, the new Simms G3 Pro waders are a total game-changer because they add a tough, waterproof front zipper to my everyday workhorse. I love the upgraded GORE-TEX Pro fabric because it breathes well and stands up perfectly to everyday wear and tear on the river. Combining that handy zipper and the new adjustable straps with legendary G3 durability means you stay comfortable and dry all day, making these a must-have from the Simms collection. You don’t want to miss these amazing waders! 🤘🏻🔥🎣🎉 #landonmayerflyfishing

Last month, I was surprised during a Zoom call by my good friends Ross Purnell, John Frazier, and Peter Markano when they nominated me for Conservationist of the Year🙏🏻. I’m truly grateful and share this award with many incredible people who show up each year with big hearts to protect and cherish our beautiful, vast resources! Huge thanks to @rossflyfisher, @denpastucha, @flyfraz313, @flyfishermanmagazine, @simmsfishing, the Dream Team, and most importantly, the Clean The Dreamers for believing in our cause. Your support over the years, this meaningful award, and the amazing $10,000.00 donation will help us place new trash cans in the top three lots of the #dreamstream this year, making it a better place for everyone to enjoy every day! ❤️🎣 This cover photo is in memory of #anteroreservoir and what big trout will roam there once again 🤗 We look forward to seeing everyone at this year's 11th annual!!! #landonmayerflyfishing

Yo! Episode 1 of “TroutRage” is live thanks to my good buds at @troutroutes who are making this mini series celebration of wading trips gone miserably or hilariously wrong possible! I’m having so much fun recording these and will hurl one at you from time to time, but it’s my old amigo @flyfraz313 who’s leading off with a ripper of a story guaranteed to give any father PTSD. Link directly to the episode is in my bio! #cutandretie #troutrage #troutroutes #dadjokes #flyfishingfortrout

For a quarter century, Dr. Todd Koel has led the charge to restore Yellowstone’s native fish and the ecosystems they anchor. From pioneering lake trout suppression in Yellowstone Lake to rewilding dozens of miles of stream and hundreds of acres of lakes, his work has reshaped the park’s waters for generations to come.

Congratulations to Dr. Koel for being Simms’ and Fly Fisherman’s 2025 Conservationist of the Year! In recognition of his work, Simms is donating $10,000 to Yellowstone Forever, Yellowstone park’s official nonprofit partner, to help fund these efforts into the future.

Spent the weekend with the @stoneflyoutfitters and @simmsfishing crew tapping into the WHY behind what we do.

Time was well spent sharing stories around the fire, enjoying great food, sipping delicious drinks, experiencing top-notch company… oh, and yeah—we caught a few fish too.

Huge shoutout to @stoneflyoutfitters for the incredible hospitality. Grateful for the reminder of what makes this community so special.

It’s Lefty’s birthday! Today, Feb. 26, Lefty Kreh would have been 100 years old. Lily Renzetti celebrated the birthday of our friend and fly-fishing icon by serving a Lefty Kreh birthday cake at the Denver The Fly Fishing Show. Please celebrate Lefty’s birthday here with us by sharing your Lefty stories, and your experiences with this amazing man.
Lefty was influential in helping businesses like Renzetti, Tibor, and Sage to grow and become market leaders. In honor of this amazing World War II veteran who steered the sport of fly fishing into the modern era, Fly Fisherman has created a feature-length documentary called “Lefty: The Greatest of all Time.” Tickets for the live premiere March 27 in Frederick Maryland are available online at the Weinberg Center box office. The film will later be on Outdoor Channel and World Fishing Network and also on our ad-free digital streaming channels on Plex, Samsung TV Plus, MyOutdoorTV, and other outlets coming soon.
