27/08/2026 Commercial Pilot Licence ✔️✈️👩‍✈️

As a parent there are few moments more rewarding than watching your child turn their dreams into reality. Sophie, there are truly not enough words to express the overwhelming sense of pride I have in my heart watching you achieve this milestone. The countless hours of studying, training, perseverance and determination have led you to this moment, and I have no doubt those same qualities will carry you to even greater heights.
I can't wait to see where this journey takes you and all the incredible places you will go in the sky and in life. Your wings are just beginning to take you where you are meant to go.... ❤️

Oh how much I miss GMLY… I don’t miss paying to fly, but I miss the freedom of just going wherever I wanted to build time. I did most of my time building in GMLY and had a lot of fun doing it, I guess that’s what I miss the most and it’s something nobody really mentions… flying for work limits you to where you’re going, it’s the quickest and most efficient way there and back but when you’re time building you can basically come up with whatever ridiculous route you want and nobody questions it… apart from your wallet.

I learned a lot of lessons flying this plane, because I did make plenty of “questionable” decisions. I say questionable because I didn’t realize how dumb I really was at the time but now that I have a bit more knowledge & experience I can safely say that I was an idiot… I suppose that’s a part of the learning experience with aviation. I’m sure I still make stupid decisions and will look back in a few years and cringe 🤷‍♂️

And yes I’ve just been going back through old photos…
