Every workout. Every set. Every rep. 🏊‍♂️🔥

Our elite youth swimmers are locked in on the road to Nationals, and the flywheel is a big part of how they’re getting ready.

Why flywheels? 👇

⚙️ Resistance that matches effort. The harder they pull, the more resistance they feel. Every rep is a max-intent rep, with no weight stack to hide behind.

🔁 Eccentric overload. As the flywheel recoils, athletes have to brake and control it. That builds strength and control through the full range of motion, which supports the shoulders and joints that take a beating in the pool.

🏊 Swim-specific training. Pulling patterns, core stability, and powerful hip and shoulder drive can all be trained in ways that carry over to the water.

⏱️ Efficient and scalable. Big training stimulus in a small footprint, with intensity easily adjusted for each athlete.

Strong, resilient, and powerful swimmers aren’t built by accident. They’re built one rep at a time. 💪

Recovery doesn’t mean sitting out. 💪 4 members grinding on the assault bikes, Ros putting in work on the ski erg as she bounces back from knee surgery — same energy, different lane.

This is exactly why we love EMS training: it activates and strengthens muscle no matter where you are in your fitness journey — whether you’re pushing max effort or working your way back from an injury. The electrical stimulation helps maintain and rebuild muscle engagement even when mobility is limited, so recovery becomes part of the progress, not a pause from it. 🔥

Huge congratulations to Newmarket Racers’ Lilla Ribot-de-Bresac who secured Australia’s first gold medal of the meet at the Jnr Pan Pacs in Vancouver. 🍁

Lilla’s winning time of 107.17 in the 100m Breaststroke was not only a huge PB, but also a new JPP record time. 🏊

Out of the water Lilla trains privately with Chris and with our National Squad, building the kind of resilience that allows her to compete at the very highest levels across multiple distances and events.

Lilla will swim in the 200m and potentially the Individual Medley over the coming days. Looks like we might need to include some neck work in order to hold up all the medals coming her way.

💪🏼 Coach Chris recently visited @fiteducation.au to demonstrate the effectiveness and adaptability of the Exxentric Flywheel system to future PTs who were completing their Cert 4 in Fitness.

💪🏼 The industry is ever changing and these young minds were introduced to one of the pieces of equipment that we will see more and more of throughout sporting clubs and gyms in the coming years.

💪🏼 @primalthenics runs multiple classes per week utilising this amazing piece of kit. Try it for yourself and see what the future of fitness could do for you.

🥇🥇🥇🥇 Laps + Reps = RESULTS 🥇🥇🥇🥇

Putting in the work in and out of the pool is clearly paying dividends for our National Swim Squad. Just look at these results from the recent National Titles:

11 swimmers

8 x 🥇 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇

1 x 🥈

4 x 🥉🥉🥉🥉

17 x finals placings
31 x personal bests

3 x record times
- U16 4x50m freestyle relay
- U16 4x50m medley relay
- QLD 50m breaststroke (Lilla Ribot-de-Bresac)

Lilla also qualified for the Jnr Pan PAC team to compete in Canada in August.
Coco McGrath made the Australian Oceania Team.

When you see these athletes train, you know you’re in the presence of world beaters. The future of Australian swimming is bright and we’ve got a front row seat.

Eccentric overload - Full squat, slamming on the brakes at a quarter squat, exploding back into a full squat. Training force absorption, braking mechanics and explosive power with every rep.

Fresh from playing professional ice hockey in Finland, @mikko.rippon joined Chris in the studio today to sharpen up his strength and mobility training off the ice. 🏒 This session utilised elements of both @primalthenics movements and @flywheeltraining.au Exxentric resistance work that had even this seasoned athlete pushed to new limits.
Awesome to see a young athlete putting in the extra work to achieve high goals in one of the most competitive and physical sports in the world. 🏒

One of my new favourites courtesy of @flywheeltraining.au. Winding them down on the wheel for a low isometric hold followed by power endurance reps on the medium wheel to keep the speed and force high
