It had been a long time since I’d enjoyed a meal this much and experienced something that was truly flawless from start to finish. Just two minutes from Syntagma Square, in a peaceful, beautifully designed space where nothing feels unnecessary, I visited OVIO today with my lovely @kyvele and we got to try some of the most impressive dishes on the menu. We usually gravitate towards more subtle flavors, but some of the dishes looked far too tempting not to try!

We started with delicious focaccia and a kale salad (must-try!), an exceptional pumpkin soup with citrus notes (definitely try it if it’s available), and red seabream tartare with fresh black truffle, with a subtle smoky touch.

We then moved on to two standout dishes: the yellow bell pepper risotto with blue crab, slow-cooked, served steaming hot, and bursting with beautiful aromas, and the calamarata pasta with lemon pesto, artichokes, and fresh shrimp tartare, intensely lemony with wonderful textures.

We finished with a handmade mushroom pizza featuring one of the best pizza doughs I’ve ever tasted!
For dessert, we tried the tiramisu (must-try!) and the chocolate dessert with pistachio (an absolute must), served with fleur de sel ice cream and a wonderful homemade butter cookie.

The service was truly impeccable, the cocktails were excellent, and the overall atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and effortlessly inviting. I couldn’t recommend this place more! 🫶

A place I had walked past so many times but had never tried, with a beautiful aesthetic that somehow combines the vibe of an American diner with an Asian touch, and is very thoughtfully designed in terms of materials and color combinations!

I really loved both the main dining area with the sofas and the more private, wood-themed corner! Freshly made burgers and fries (we got the chicken sando and a classic cheeseburger), and an amazing truffle sauce, as well as delicious chicken nuggets with ranch sauce (must try). We paired everything with a Paloma and a Zombie (€5 each), and finished off by trying the banana pudding! Very friendly service, very clean, and not a single smell inside!

I highly recommend it 🫶
