Some Ferraris shout. This one just smiles. Portofino M in champagne silver that changes with every hour of coastal light. 612 hp of twin-turbo V8 and a folding hardtop for when the Carmel fog rolls in. Looking forward to seeing this beauty at Concours Carmel. How about yours? MONTEREY CAR WEEK Carmel, CA August 12, 2027 Free to attend! 4 details. 1 unmistakable name. A Jaeger tach with Giri x100 behind a wood-rimmed wheel. A yellow racer’s headlamp sealed under hand-fitted Plexi. Crackle-red cam covers that say everything in seven letters. This is what Ferrari looks like up close, and it’s waiting for you in Carmel. A Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano in satin white with a black roof. Hardly anyone specs a 599 like this. Most are Rosso Corsa. What hides under that long hood is a 6.0-liter V12 with roots in the Enzo, around 612 horsepower, sitting up front like Ferrari intended. Pininfarina drew the shape and named the car after Ferrari’s own test track. It’s a grand tourer that never quite learned to behave like one. The 599 still feels like Ferrari’s last old-school front-engine V12 brute, before everything got a little more polished and a little more digital. You can feel it just standing next to it. Come see the next one in person: Concours Carmel, presented by the Ferrari Owners Club, returns Thursday, August 12, 2027, in Carmel-by-the-Sea. It’s free to attend and open to everyone!Ferraris, Italian motorcycles and special marque guests lining the village streets. Some villages have cobblestones. Carmel has Cavallinos. A Grigio Silverstone F430 Spider, the last of the gated-manual V8 droptops. A Giallo Modena F355, still the prettiest mid-engine Ferrari of the ‘90s. And a modern GT in deep blue, proving the bloodline keeps moving. Three decades of Maranello, angled beneath fairytale rooftops, tricolor flags, and striped awnings. People stop. They lean in. They ask questions. That’s the magic. The best car shows don’t feel like exhibits. Concours Carmel feels like an experience you’ll talk about for years.
