Loving this LP…. Black Grove—A New Wilderness

Today, "A New Wilderness" is finally released. My friends and I recorded this album five years ago at Studio Cobra (brilliantly produced by @konan_barbaren).

Often, when time passes after I create something, a new perspective can start to creep up on me that makes me see things in a sort of devious, new light. However, even after five years, I have a very good feeling towards this album and I think it contains some of the best music I've ever written. I'm very proud to be able to share it with you today, all thanks to @syed.never and his beautiful endeavor @fogandlime.

For the past decade, this band has been the embodiment of a deep, personal soul-searching journey, and as a result, it has taken many shapes and forms throughout the years. I want to take the opportunity to - from the bottom of my heart - thank everyone who has been by my side along this road. As of now, the future of this project is still not exactly clear, but all I can say is I'm not done exploring the grove.

Links for purchasing the vinyl can be found in the bio. If you live in Sweden, you can buy it from Push My Buttons; otherwise, it's available on Bandcamp. DM me if you have any questions.

Love,
Anton

I can only end 2026 one way and that’s by finally publishing my and my label @fogandlime’s 12 favourite new albums of 2025!! Another year of incredible music saturating my ears and soul! A quick run through the top 4:
-
-
-
1. La Rat - “La Rat” —I think about this album all the time! Even when I’m not listening to it! So funky, so alive, so unique, and a one-of-kind record really. Female fronted raps and grooves from the Netherlands. Essential listening⭐️
-
-
-
2. Heir of the Cursed - “Heir of the Cursed”. This is one of THE most haunting, dark, and beautiful records I’ve ever heard. So quiet and SO heavy. So heavy. RIP Beldina Odenyo (AKA Heir of the Cursed) who ended her own time in 2021. This record was released post-humous on her behalf 💔
-
-
-
3. Smote - “Songs From The Freehouse” —a huge, medieval drone packed wandering into a place Smote have quite literally mastered! The artwork, the sound, the mood—this record is a mode of transportation more than just a sound. 🗝️
-
-
-
4. Industry - “Industry” —what an absolute wall smasher this is. Supercharged political lyrics on top of the most sonic record I’ve heard all year. All the intensity of hardcore matched with almost industrial and post-punk production and drumming. Fierce, dark, attacking, and massive! 🧨

All the other 8 records are amazing in their own way. SMALL correction the @tapeofthemonthclub box set is 5 inch vinyl (!!!) not 7 inch! Roll on 2026! #indiemusic #vinylcommunity #larat #vinylcollection #bestalbumsof2025
