a month late but this deserved to be documented ✨

year three with @blackwomeninfood and my first leading panels & speakers. genuinely so grateful!

i keep coming back because i believe in this mission with my whole chest. especially right now, when initiatives are being defunded left and right, celebrating Black women in food is more necessary than ever.

this year we grew — bigger space @capturnaround , an added community day where we literally touched soil at @3phfarm and learned about regenerative farming in DC. wherever you sit in the food ecosystem (CPG, restaurants, recipe development) it all comes back to the soil. 🌱

endless gratitude to our founders @maame_b and @ninaoduro for setting the standard of excellence in every detail. and to our rockstar panel team and committee leads — bless you all!

to every woman i met and every conversation that stretched me, thank you🫶🏾

that’s a wrap on 2026.

Side note: this year was buuuuusy so I had few pics to capture the moment 🫠Thanks to our photographers @chi_chi.ari @thearthype!

Our Bridgerton-Inspired Vintage Cake class was a success this past weekend! 💐 This was my very first time leading and hosting an event for my Bakeshop and I am incredibly grateful for the ladies that came out and supported and all the love shown from family and friends!

I was stretched in many ways putting this together. God showed up in many ways for me and I’m grateful! 💗🥹

Thank you @neighborsstudio__ for creating this space for business owners and creatives to connect and make room for community ♥️
