Walk #18 ☔️ and my first walk in the rain! But not to worry we definitely didn’t let a little rain rain on our parade. Today I walked with Catherine, owner of @foldingfairy She started her business just about a year ago and it has absolutely taken off. She now has a team that comes right to your home and uses the Marie Kondo method to fold, organize and bring a little order back to your life. 🙌I actually got to experience it firsthand. Shortly after my explant surgery one of her Folding Fairies came to my house and they were such a huge help.Another walk, another woman who took an idea and turned it into a booming business. 18 walks in and apparently not even the Charleston rain can stop me now. 😂

Our hearts are so full. 💚 Thank you to every single person who came out today to Mahj for a Good Cause. Whether you played, sponsored, donated, volunteered, purchased raffle tickets, bid on an auction item, or simply helped spread the word, you were part of something incredibly special. Today was about so much more than mahjong. It was about coming together as a community to help make sure students right here in our Mount Pleasant schools have access to the food they need. We are so grateful for the generosity, energy, and love that filled the room today. Every hand played and every dollar raised helps us put food into the hands of local children who need it most. Thank you for showing up for our community and helping us turn a morning of mahjong into something truly meaningful. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Y’all we have a belated Mother’s Day offer for a deserving local family. Listen up! We have an amazing local business, @foldingfairy, who has offered to help a family. When you are a caregiver to anyone, all the household/ daily things don’t go away and often, just make what you are doing harder. So let’s lighten the load… figuratively and literally. They come to your house. You wash the clothes, they fold them AND put them away. Yes mam, they fold all of it and then, they.put.it.all.away. 1 month is being donated, 10 hours, 2.5 hours a week. LCWM will cover the set up time so that the entire 10 hours will go to folding and organizing. So- if you know someone local who needs this, nominate them. Or yourself. We will pick a winner tomorrow night. You can nominate until 3pm Sunday, May 17th. Here are rules: 1. You have to live in Charleston county or Daniel Island. 2. You need to be a part or full time caregiver to a child, spouse, parent or family member who needs extra help and support. Nominate by sending us a DM and telling us a little bit about you or your friend and the situation. Tag your buddies. Let’s get someone some help for a month yall. *** the name of the winner does not need to be announced here if that is their preference*** 🧚 💫 Nominate away
