We loved co-hosting the DIY pocket journals and paper boxes workshop with neighborhood bookbinder @folio.etc this week. The best part? Choosing ephemera to fill the pockets with. More after-hours shop events coming soon.

Yes is a world. Home is a feeling.

Voting, autumn leaves, whipping winds, first Give Good Movie Night featuring movies with epic interiors, first Bow Market Renaissance Faire, catching and releasing good vintage finds.

A highlight: The customer visiting from SF who made room in her carry-on bag for three nesting canisters I brought back from Maine this summer. Enjoy those in your new place.

Another highlight: Every 👏 single 👏 person 👏 stayed to discuss the film we screened for movie night. It was so special to begin to workshop this experience—thanks for buying a ticket and embracing that spirit of experimentation with me.

Next week in the shop: 11/13 DIY journals and paper goods workshop with @folio.etc (SOLD OUT, but you can sign up for events emails), more sourcing, more autumn leaves…

‘Home is a feeling.’ One of many revelations I lost in my notes app this year. That changes today…

@folio.etc pocket journals now available in the shop. Handmade in Somerville. Perfect for catching all your stray feelings and inspo.

Workshop coming Nov. 13 with @folio.etc owner @emelynuru 📚 where we’ll learn to make our own pocket journals. Link coming soon.

Learn to hand-bind a portable mood board notebook—crafted to hold fabric swatches, pressed flowers, photos, and all the pocket-sized fragments that spark something. Join Somerville-based bookbinder Emelyn Uribe-Rutowski @emelynuru of @folio.etc for an evening of hand-binding and inspiration collecting after hours at the Give Good Home Shop @givegoodhome in Bow Market.

Bring your own items—a postcard, a pressed leaf, a sketch, a handwritten note—or take something that moves you from the Give Good archive. Grab a drink from one of our wonderful Bow Market neighbors and bring it with you to the shop.

As always, expect soft music, good company, and an analog night away from screens.

🗓️ Thursday, Oct. 16, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
📍 Give Good (upper level) 1 Bow Market Way Somerville, MA 02143
🎟️ $45/person; reserve your spot via payment link in bio

All experience levels welcome
