BEFORE THE CLOCK STRUCK 2 ⏰

A little behind-the-scenes look at our Marketplace vendors before the doors officially opened on Day 1 of the Herb Festival.

There are last-minute touches, plenty of chatting, FOMM volunteers at the ready, and lots of excitement before the 14h00 opening.

Some are Herb Festival regulars, some are new faces — but every year, they bring creativity and a passion for all things herbs to the Festival

🌿 Thank you to each of our vendors, Museum staff members, and volunteers whose calm energy and teamwork got everything ready for the moment the doors opened.

OUR POP-UP MARKETPLACE | JUST HAVING A LOOK… 👀🌿

“Just popping into the Old Mission Church for a quick browse. I’m not buying anything, just going to have a look.”

Famous last words! Because once you step into the historic Old Mission Church and start wandering around the Herb Festival's Pop-Up Marketplace, all bets are off.

With 16 local vendors bringing their wares together under one beautiful old roof, there are makers and growers to meet, artisanal products to discover, interesting conversations to have — and quite possibly that one thing you absolutely didn’t know you needed.

AND WHO EXACTLY WILL YOU FIND THERE? 🌿
Bokashi Langeberg | CannaGold | Chivas Oils | Fell Flora | Fijn Botanicals | Folio Books. | Growfolk | Harts Potteri | Hearth & Larder | Khwa ttu | L’Olio Natura | Museum Herb Shop | Ozone Vitality | Therapeutic Naturals | Viccy Wanliss Art | Yamù Botanicals

With the whole weekend to browse, there’s plenty of time to go back for a second look. 😉
So bring your shopping basket.

🌿 And while you’re ‘just looking’, remember that every purchase from a local maker helps keep small businesses, traditional skills, and community creativity thriving.

Browsing and shopping are likely to work up an appetite. The Mission Church lawn has you covered (literally) with pop-up food stalls and a coffee cart. ☕🥪

📍 Old Mission Church
🗓️ 28–30 August 2026

🎟️ Book your tickets on Quicket. (Link in bio)

You have two options when it comes to tickets,
🌿 R20 — your weekend pass to the Pop-Up Marketplace.
🌿 R150 — your weekend pass to the Marketplace plus all 9 speaker sessions and access to 3 private gardens. (You do the maths)

My Kindred friends. 🎪

When I was baby I always wanted to run away and join the carnival folk.. I reckon being part of this band of makers and musers for the last 5 years has kinda been that wish fulfilled as an adult. We come together and conjure up a new world for a day, everyone with their own personal passion magic to sprinkle into the pot. Yesterday was a delicious soup of creative juices that’ll keep us well fed during the market-less Winter.
I am bursting at the seams with love for you all, my fine folk of Kindred. 🧸

….

A chapter for my first baby @_moon.city closes… but I’m pregnant with new ideas and the due date is Springtime. For now … we hibernate.
