Nice reception @perkinscenter Moorestown last night for the annual fall juried show. On view until October 29th. A percentage of the proceeds from purchased art supports the center. It was way too crowded to get better pics. I have included, in no particular order, some other pieces that I really liked. by: Christine Wilkinson @christinetextiles , Dannan McGeorge @danannmcgeorge, and Lauren Ashley @folklore13

We’re ecstatic to exhibit new sculptures by KATHLEEN STUDEBAKER @kathleenstudebaker_art in our brand-new exhibition OTHER WORLDS!!   KATHLEEN STUDEBAKER’S @kathleenstudebaker_art AstroObjects are fantastical gadgets inspired by the building blocks of the universe: from atomic structure to solar systems. They are machines of unknown purpose. Aesthetically, they recall the polished brass complexity of antique astrological instruments. Studebaker has always been visually & conceptually drawn to the mechanical, falling in love with gears as powerful symbols of purpose and potential. Every element of each sculpture is made entirely by hand, & the natural color of each type of metal is utilized with purpose; graduating from “warm” copper, to “cool” steel (or the reverse). The title of each piece is dictated by a key she creates, & each digit within the brackets refers to physical characteristics like size, form, arrangement of elements & order of metals used.   Join us at DC Gallery & Studio for the Opening Reception of OTHER WORLDS on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 6-8pm.   At the Opening Reception of OTHER WOLRDS, enjoy the new exhibition, meet both the exhibiting artists, enjoy live music, light fare & refreshments. This event is free & open to the public.   And don’t forget, that same evening is also the August 3rd Friday Art Crawl in Millville! Join us on High St. on Friday, August 15 from 6-8pm, for a free night out on the town! Come out and enjoy new art exhibitions, live music performances, friends, the art crawl & giveaway! See you Friday!   #newexhibition #artopening #contemporaryart #newjerseyarts #artgallery #artexhibition

We’re thrilled to exhibit new drawings & paintings by LAUREN ASHLEY @folklore13 in our brand-new exhibition OTHER WORLDS. Lauren @folklore13 says, “These drawings & paintings are a celebration of wonder. In making this body of work, I have investigated both my observable environment & that which is beyond our ordinary understanding of this world. I am exploring mystery & wonder, blended with the grounding beauty of the surrounding flora & fauna of Southern New Jersey. I’m responding to that feeling of being watched, as if someone else is alongside me. One of my ongoing themes is whether we can contact the unseen. Like many, I would love the chance to communicate with those in my life that have moved on. I am inspired by folklore, the nature of consciousness, symbolism, love & spiritualism. Paintings such as Marsh Ouija explore these questions. Symbols, memories & the beauty of our surroundings move me to make work that celebrates the magic of mystery; that tingle that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. I’m questioning reality while also taking in all I can in my surroundings. This collection continues to explore the perplexities of the otherworld in combination with the simple joys found in everyday objects all around us.” — Lauren Ashley @folklore13 Join us at DC Gallery & Studio for the Opening Reception of OTHER WORLDS on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 6-8pm.
