Lorelei of @folklorx’s Aidah Gown has me scrambling through my stash for narrow striped silks, and dreaming of ensembles in deep, rich autumn hues in bronze and olives, because her choice of fabrics is so divine!

The stripes show off the way you can play with grainlines in the cutaway front and back panels perfectly, and are so beautiful in the pleating of the skirts.

Lorelei made a View B with cutaway front, 3/4 sleeves, and a pinned front. She blended between sizes 32 and 34 to get the perfect fit.

As a child who absolutely HATED sewing, I never thought that costuming would be such a huge part of my adult life, let alone lead to so many wonderful friendships!

The realm of historical costuming can be a treacherous community at times, but with these good-hearted wonderful people at my side, I feel like I can do anything!

Thank you so much to you all for the kindness you’ve shown me, the quiet moments where you’ve taken the time to listen to my troubles, the work you do to keep us all safe and supported, and the love that pours from each and every one of you.
