It was such an honour to be part of Korea’s largest Hanbok exhibition and to have the opportunity to meet First Lady Kim Hye-kyung during the event.

Moments like this remind me why I’m so passionate about creating more opportunities for Korean traditional culture to be seen, experienced and shared here in Australia.

Through KATACA, we hope to continue building meaningful cultural connections between Korea and Australia.

Looking forward to bringing more of Korea’s traditional culture, reimagined in new and creative ways, to Australian audiences. 🇰🇷🇦🇺

I’m so grateful to @sydneychicmagazine for giving me the opportunity to share my story and my voice.
At a time like this, it’s more important than ever that people with disabilities are seen, heard and valued.

If I could give anyone with a disability who is considering modelling one piece of advice, it would be this: know your value and never let anyone take advantage of you. Your disability does not diminish your worth, your talent or what you have to offer.

With so much uncertainty and change surrounding the NDIS right now, I think it’s especially important that people with disabilities know their worth, understand where their funding is going and feel confident to ask questions.

If you are being asked to pay for workshops, styling or other services in order to be represented, make sure you understand exactly what you’re paying for and that you are being paid correctly and on time for your work. Your NDIS funding should be protected and used for its intended purpose, not taken advantage of.

Thank you again to @sydneychicmagazine , Albert, @victoriakirpichnikov @fa_tea_ma_ and the rest of the team for giving me a platform to share my story and for helping create space for these important conversations.

Never did I ever expect how far I’d come or where all my hard work would lead me. Let alone walking into my local newsagency and picking up a fashion magazine with a feature all about me.
If I could say one thing to my younger self, the one struggling in an abusive school environment, with no friends, no support, no sense of purpose, and who had almost lost hope it would be this;
In just 18 months, you’ll be living a life you never thought was possible.
It won’t be perfect. You’ll still face challenges. You’ll lose friendships you thought would last forever, and you’ll learn that some people will try to take advantage of your kindness. I’ve experienced a lot of that over the last few months. But despite the heartbreak and setbacks, the positives have far outweighed the negatives.
You’ll keep pushing forward, you’ll achieve your goals, and you’ll prove to yourself and to anyone who ever doubted you just how strong and resilient you really are.

After all, the best revenge is success.

An immense thank you to @sydneychicmagazine , Albert, @fa_tea_ma_ , and @victoriakirpichnikov for believing in me and taking a chance on me. Your support has meant more than you’ll ever know, especially at a time when I needed it most.

시드니에서 한국무용을 배워온 지 어느덧 1년
그 시간 동안 설 수 있었던 무대들을 정리해보았다

여전히 부족함을 느끼고
몸과 호흡이 마음처럼 따라주지 않을 때도 많지만
매주 즐겁게 배우고 있는 한국무용 🇰🇷

소중한 공연의 기회를 만들어주신
여러 기관들에 진심으로 감사드리고

무엇보다, 한국무용을 가르쳐 주시고
부족한 저희도 선생님들과 함께 무대에 설 수 있도록

It's been about a year since
I started learning Korean traditional dance,
and I wanted to look back on the stages on
which I've had the chance to stand

I still feel like I fall short so often —
my body and breath don't always
move the way I intend them to —
but I keep coming back every week for the joy it gives

Sincere thanks to all the organisations
that have given me these opportunities

And most of all, I would like to thank
all the teachers at @j_dance_au @jdance.au
for teaching us Korean dance,

When I signed up to be accredited media for SXSW Sydney 2025, I didn't quite anticipate the week-long flurry that would follow several months later. Armed with an almost all-access pass, I spent seven days catching every single event I could, consuming so many gorgeous films and creatively-affirming discussions.

Behind the flagrant tech orgy and the awful ticketing system was an abundance of Australian and international musicians, filmmakers, game developers, and tastemakers, a beating heart of culture the festival tried to capitalise on rather than grow from.

Highlights from Monday & Tuesday included the vibrantly multicultural FOMA runway, a film festival programming panel that was both earnest and accessible, and a Tuesday night music run with the suave Boy Soda, polyphonic Suichu Spica, and gooner legends 2charm.
