Are cyclists ornery because of the tight fitting kits or an enlarged medulla oblongata?! We had more questions than answers this morning. What we do know is we had a great workout with a burpee finisher!

Thank you Andrew for visiting us and we look forward to helping you out in your research in any way we can.

Next Wednesday is the first of the month and as always it’s PR day! Make sure you bring a shirt to tag if you need it. Also sign up to volunteer to tag if you haven’t yet. And if you’ve never tagged we can walk you through the steps.

Have a great weekend.

Today me and @katienotsummers became the newest co-leaders of @novemberprojectatx. I want to thank @iavargas and @scearl for trusting that we can help make this community better. I also want to thank @atxgina for posting about the #projectaustin workouts until I decided to show up for my first workout. The first memory I have is trying to shake @fonsatx hand and him telling me ‘we don’t shake we hug!’ And in typical Fons style he was wearing some bright leggings. I knew I found the right group of weirdos and I was hooked. I’ll try my best to repay this group in burpees, for as much as it’s given to me.

April scenes. Sometimes the best moments in life are the unplanned ones. When you lean into spontaneity. When you surrender to the moment with full trust. When you let go of expectations of any outcome.

Sometimes that means turning a canceled flight into a chance to see a city and run with a new crew. And staying at a strangers house (yes another stranger story). Or saying “yes” to big life decisions that scare the heck out of you, but you know deep down they’re what feels right. And surrounding yourself with the kind of people who lift everyone up and who’s energies bring about the best laughs and memories.

We got a great workout in today, but maybe the real treasure was the friends we made along the way! Celebrated National Make a Friend Day with high-cheering agility ladder races, finding obscure things in common, and doing some hard negotiating on workout swaps. A BIG welcome to Monica and Rob, and a HAPPY birthday to James!! 🥳
