Some fresh street photography for a complete rebrand of @queenstreetwest commissioned by @fookcomm — to photograph the many moods of a street I’ve called home these past few years, and see it come to life within their new brand identity, was so fulfilling. End of the shoot foolery almost got me to stop doing commercials. For real, this project was something new for me & I’m super grateful to Fook for bringing us on to level up the production and the team for going above and beyond to make everything happen. Built for the trade is now live. PS, don’t do interviews sitting on your car at wrap.

After expanding to 34 stores, Mister Safety Shoes shifted its marketing strategy from radio to digital, aiming to use online storytelling to enhance brand awareness and consideration. Partnering with @fookcomm, we developed a social campaign based on research into what their customers value in a shopping experience. We built focused messaging around this research and brought it to life through video. The resulting campaign differentiates their brand and helps their audience understand why they should choose Mister Safety Shoes. Our campaign included video ads and motion ads, designed to expand reach and maximize brand awareness. Design is a visual medium, which is what makes it so exciting to experience when combined with other sensory stimuli. In previous List entries, we’ve explored how design plays with sight and sound. However, what about smell? For example, how can design effectively capture the beauty of a range of candles that draws inspiration from nature, the seasons, and the sky? Similarly, how can it convey the essence of a perfume brand that encourages us to slow down, and cherish our daily rituals? Elsewhere, designers like Stefan Jandl and Oddity have applied their creativity to the world of fragrance, creating their own divine scents. While you may not be able to experience the scents through the screen (yet), you can appreciate these identities and packaging designs in this curated list. Discover more at: the-brandidentity.com (link in bio) ——— The Brand Identity is an independent graphic design resource with a worldwide reach, showcasing the top 1% of designers, studios, agencies and type foundries to an ever-growing audience.
