Pov: The Band hired an artist
instead of a photographer🇦🇺

A few days ago, I received such an amazing opportunity.
to sketch Fools’ new music recording session instead of a photographer!

I got to listen to their music up close and capture the moment through my sketches.
Hearing music in a recording studio was such a different and special experience from a pub or live venue.

Huge thanks to Fools for the amazing opportunity! 🎶
Can’t wait for everyone to hear their new music!

A few days on and I’m still thinking about this insanely incredible night.

The Yarraville Social Hall Fundraiser was one of those very special nights that reminded me exactly why I love the West so bloody much.

The talent. The music. The stories. The people. The incredible Inner West Symphony Orchestra accompanying some of our most brilliant local artists as they performed their own music.

I spent the whole night smiling, photographing, videoing and soaking it all in and feeling ridiculously proud of our community.

Huge congratulations to Adam Coad for dreaming this up and making it happen, and to everyone who poured their talent and heart into the night. And of course, a massive shoutout to Russell Mann and the Sun Theatre for hosting us so beautifully.

And the best bit? The money raised will help fund a PA system that will support creative spaces and events across our community.

When the West gets behind its own, pure and divine magic happens.

There are nights you walk into with a vague idea of what to expect… and then there are nights that blow the roof off, crack your heart wide open and remind you exactly what life is all about…
Last night was THAT night!

The Yarraville Social Hall Fundraiser was, without question, one of the most extraordinary nights I have ever experienced. I honestly could not stop smiling. I’m not sure I have ever felt quite like I did last night..that beautiful combination of joy, pride, connection, community and absolute bloody awe.
And my god… THE TALENT.
The incredible Inner West Symphony Orchestra, whom I absolutely adore, accompanied some of our most phenomenal local artists and songwriters as they performed their own music.
THIS, my friends, is what the West is all about.

A huge and heartfelt congratulations to Adam Coad for dreaming this up and making it a reality that we all got to experience. What a bloody gift to our community.
And a massive shoutout to Russell Mann and our iconic Sun Theatre for hosting such an incredible night.

To every phenomenal artist who gave us your talent, your stories and your hearts:
Seashells (Steph & Dave), Will Honisett, Lydia Griffiths, Peter Brennan, Midnight Violet, Luke O’Connor & Hayden Meggitt, The Clones, Shelby Rose, Adam Coad, Alexia Vitale & Georgi Webb, Ashley Davies with Jen Anderson, Rebecca Barnard, The Rebelles ..you were ALL extraordinary.
And our absolutely EPIC, kilt-donning, bloody brilliant MC Bryce Ives… you absolute legend.
And then there is the just INCREDIBLE INNER WEST SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA.. led by the one and only Artistic Director and Conductor Andrew Leach.. pure talent and complete and utter joy!

And the best part?
The money raised is going towards a PA system that won’t just elevate nights like this, but will benefit creative spaces and events right across our incredible community.

When the West gets behind its own, magic happens.
And last night was nothing short of magic.

Now… I just need to edit the hundreds of photos I took last night!
And honestly, after a night this bloody good… I wouldn’t have it any other way!
