Hi! Happy Monday (or Tuesday, depending on where you are). ♥️

It’s been a minute, or three(ish) months. 🤭

I took the summer off and planned to restart my Monday Muse series at the beginning of September, but realized I needed a little more time to figure out what I wanted to do with the series, if anything at all.

I’m incredibly proud of Monday Muse and the fact that it lasted an entire year. It really is a reflection of who I am, my heart, and how I want to support this community.

But it was hard to spread joy when I wasn’t feeling much of it myself. My heart wasn’t in it, and I never wanted Monday Muse to become something performative. That’s not who I am or what this series was meant to be.

Anyway, I’ve decided to go another route.

Monday Muse has always been about celebrating the Bookstas in our community who bring the best energy. So, what better way to continue than to let YOU celebrate YOUR muse?

I genuinely love reading your comments about the people who make this community special. And I think there’s something even more meaningful about giving everyone the opportunity to share that love rather than having me choose someone each week.

So, let’s try something different every Monday for the rest of the year.

Who is YOUR Monday Muse?

Whether you share their name, tell us what makes them special, or simply take a moment to appreciate them, I hope this little corner of Bookstagram continues to be a place for kindness, encouragement, and joy.

I love you.

I challenged some friends to tell me who from some of their favorite reads they would want to spend Halloween with!

Feom the pumpkin patch to trick or treating to a costume party to a haunted house! Let me tell you! Their answers did not disappoint!!!

I feel like I need to give playing for keeps a 2nd chance after so many people wanted to hang out with them!

Who would you pick??

I have so many things to say in this caption I don’t know where to start.

1️⃣ when I think “cake” I think of two things - Marie Antoinette and Bruce Bogtrotter, but I figured the 🪓 to the head might get my account banned so we went with Bruce! (And if you didn’t start chanting Bruce! Bruce! Bruce! In your head when you saw him we can no longer be friends).

2️⃣ two posts from me in a week and neither of them are my weekly highlights?! Technically three because I collabbed on a reel with my AC Unbreakable Girls so look at me go! Who knows, maybe we’ll get real crazy this week and actually post a review 🤷🏻‍♀️

3️⃣ still working my way through House of Sky and Breath so it was nice to revisit some favorites, and Renée (@aredheadwithbedhead ) just inspired me with her ten before the end post so I’ll probably put some other books on my radar with my own version sometime this week.

In other news, still avoiding mountains of laundry. Raise your hand if you’re surprised 🫣. As always, thanks for the inspo @chelseyreadsbooks_

📋Cuffing Season Draft📋
It’s that time of year again with the holidays coming up and people are starting to plan who they want to cuddle up with in the colder weather. With National Boyfriend Day being this past weekend, I asked some book friends to share up to 10 of the top book boyfriends they’ve met this year who would make their cuffing season draft.

We had 18 overlapping draft picks (selected 2+ times), but there was one that earns the MVP (4 times):
Matthew Anderson from Endgame by @willagray!
Honorable mentions (3 times):
Jace Ryan from Jace by @kellyfinleybooks
Julian Colton from Rumors & Whiskey by @authorvictoriawilder

So many great options and this is definitely impacting my TBR prioritization🤭
Who would be on your cuffing season draft or do you already know your top book boyfriend of the year?

Little late to the fact that today was National Coffee Day. Of course I had to treat myself to a little sweet treat while I was at Barnes & Noble to pick up a copy of Threshing day because I didn’t preorder it. Thank you to my girl @rickies.reads for the coffee today. 🫶🏼

Whenever I get a little something from friends to buy myself a sweet treat I am always so grateful that someone thought of me. The friendships I have made in this space, some are truly unmatched. I wouldn’t know what to do without so many of you that I wouldn’t have met if it wasn’t for this little corner of the internet.

I am beyond grateful, especially this year, for the friends who have showed up for me. Not just when things are happy and everything is great but when I have felt in my lowest of lows and everything is falling apart. I try to always look at the positives but sometimes you just need to have yourself a pity party and move on. So thank you, truly from the bottom of my heart. Whether it’s been through a DM or a long voice memo, because if you’ve ever gotten one from me you know I can’t send a short one to save my life, thank you for listening. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to appropriately put into words how much your friendship means to me🖤

My favorite part of bookstagram is the people and the support! My little corner of this place is always filled with good vibes so I want to start shouting out all my booksta besties that brighten my day! 💗

I look forward to shouting some of my lovely ladies week after week! 🥰
